What can I say about Cyclesport Thornleigh that hasn’t been penned yet? From the moment I accidentally walked into what turned out the wrong shop geographically, in turn became a blessing as Graeme turned the experience into one, that made it the right shop for EVERY other reason! Graeme bent over backwards to accommodate my requests and needs. Then Chris was brilliant in helping me out with the correct part, not just for the bike itself, but for my own comfort which turned out to be a huge game changer. This kind of service comes from not just working in a bike shop, but living a life of bikes! These boys made it a great experience using their services and I am hooked on the thoroughness and quality of their workmanship and professionalism. As the old adage goes, “I liked the business so much, I bought it”. That personifies Graeme who bought a bike there as a kid and has now in turn bought the shop a few years ago. That’s another depth the what the business means. Thanks guys for your exemplary service.

This a way overdue review, what you can expect is genuine and honest service from Graeme and Chris. This is what I love about owner operated store, they are small and keep to hear your feedback on how else can they do to make you cycling experience better. They gave you realistic turnaround time, from my multiple visits there, if its a big service 2 to 3 days, if its simple small job it could be even same day! Chris mechanic skill is awesome, had him to look at my e-mountain bike, or regular mountain bike, he seems to know it all and always able to find solution to problem quickly. Pricing is very reasonable from service to new bikes, I have recommended at least found friends to purchased new bikes from Cyclesport in last few years. So glad I am local to the shop. Please pay them a visit!

The friendly neighbourhood mechanic for your bicycle I went there twice recently, looking to purchase quite uncommon parts that the staff didn’t have in stock. As I needed them relatively quickly, I had to get them elsewhere. But the thing I noticed immediately when watching these guys work is that they are the type of bicycle mechanics you really don’t see often anymore: they love their job and they work with love and passion as well as with commitment. It’s not "all about business": they even took the time to show me exactly what I needed to know about the repairs I was going to do on my bike. Impressive. I wish them all the best in their business!

tl;dr Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great discount. A wonderful experience overall. I've experienced very few first rate retail experiences globally - and this the first in Australia. The shop has been at the address for 50 years and the current owner has been owned it for 23 years. Antony was very knowledgable in helping us choose a bike for our son and ended up giving as a great discount. He was also extremely friendly and even offered to drop off the bike at our house once it had arrived from the warehouse. Well deserved five star rating.

Rang the store and spoke with Graeme as I was looking for a very small cheap but hard to find part. They didn't have the part in stock but they searched the workshop for a used one to try and help me out and checked with the supplier and rang me back within minutes. While they ultimately couldn't help me (no fault of theirs as the supplier has no stock) it was impressive to cold call a store and receive such excellent service over a small inexpensive part.

Very friendly service by Chris, Graeme and their team. I went there just by chance and came out with a very happy and excited 10 year old who couldn't believe he will get his new bike so soon. Graeme and Chris went out of their way to explain about the bike and my 10 year old got first hand tips from them. Highly recommend anyone looking for a new bike. Couldn't believe they have been in the business for over 40 years!!

Fantastic experience from dropping off the bike to collection. Graeme kept me well informed of the works being carried out and any additional works that might be required once the service started. Was even able to adjust a few bits that they noticed during the process! Brilliant service from start to finish - highly recommend and will be using these guys more in the future

I stood at the barricade in the very hot sun,wondered if anyone could see me,no bell or anything except to yell,was happy at 1st someone said just "a" I'm on the phone, it turned into 10mins,l politely yelled, I've just a question, he yelled back"I'm on the phone"SO Rude! I left disgusted with that man at 1.45 6/10/21! Will never go back there, so rude!

Being new to mountain biking i went in store with little idea on what to expect. The Owner Graham spoke with us, went through models and recommended a model for me. The service was absolutely sensational and the bike is awesome! Needless to say i will be back in the future and i will be recommending this bike store to all of my friends / family.

This LBS is a little gem. My two mtb were in desperate need of some TLC. Graham and Chris delivered - both bikes ride like new. First ride on my "new" bike was a route PB, and I've ridden it hundreds of times over the years. Anyway, can't say enough about how good they are and their prices are more than reasonable.

I’ve been to cyclesport a few times for mtb repairs. Popped in again today looking for some small parts. The guys didn’t have what I needed in stock, but they raided the spare parts bin and sorted out a solution. I left there happy with the result. Small shop, but always great service. I’ll be back.

Took my Son’s badly out of shape mountain bike wheel in for repair. Chris was able to repair it quickly and better than I thought was possible. Very reasonably priced also - much better than the chain stores nearby. Will definitely be returning
