Looking for a cupcake on-the-go? Well, do not go to Cupcakes on Pitt, as they do not sell individual cupcakes! There are cupcakes galore across their instagram page, so you can imagine my surprise when I went into the shop and didn't see a single cupcake on display. I found out from the woman taking my order that you have to pre-order cupcakes (in what I can only imagine would be by the batch) and they are not available for individual sale on the spot. Seems like a name change would be appropriate (or - here's an idea - start selling individual cupcakes). They have a huge sign on the door that has all of the cupcake flavours, which is incredibly misleading. The other pastries I tried were good, but my cupcake craving has yet to be met. I really didn't think I'd have that problem going to a place called Cupcakes on Pitt. I wanted to give others a warning, as I imagine someone who wants a cupcake will google 'cupcake' as I did, and obviously will think they can get said cupcake when they go to a shop called Cupcakes on Pitt. Be prepared to for disappointment.

This ha become my daily stop. I sneak out from work and get her to get my cappuccino and choc croissant. Pastry are sooo good , love the baguette with pork and the coffee is always great! Not hot to burn your mouth or cold...it's just right. But the real + is the atmosphere Erin will make your day better just with her welcome and how are u! Forever young will take care of your coffee and the baking while Mary at the counter has a killer smile that won't go unnoticed. Your day will be definitely better after you visit them! * hope I've got the name right! I'm very bad at it!! If not..sorry guys!!!

Best tasting coffee i’ve had while in Sydney. They are right, you taste the coffee more then the milk. Price was also really good considering it’s in the middle of the city. The almond croissant was one of the best I’ve ever tried. Must try if you can. Fresh out of the oven too. The staff and service was simply amazing!! So friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back here! Thank you for your hospitality.

Came in here on a social media recommendation and definitely didn't regret it! It's a tiny little place but the staff are absolutely lovely and make incredible baked goods. I got the crispy pork belly roll, which honestly had the BEST bread roll i've ever eaten in my life, freshly baked and crunchy. The pork and salad was incredibly flavourful and I definitely need to get it again. I also got an almond croissant and friand, both of which were very yummy and full of almond flavour. Counting down the days until I can come back!

Best cupcakery in Sydney. Five star service and quality. The staff are always so helpful and friendly and the owner always give me free cupcakes to eat while I wait. I also love the sizing - they’re not quite the full size of most cupcakes but the price per dozen reflects that as well. Plus I have a big mouth so it’s handy to be able to shove the whole thing in at once. I can’t recommend them enough. They are happy to accommodate special requests and if you pay in cash you get a discount!!

Their cupcakes are quite good, coffee is just about average but the main reason for my 5 stars is their Baguette sandwiches they have. I generally have their Baguette sandwich whenever I don’t really have time for lunch and need something quick and nice to grab and go. The Baguette comes freshly baked right out of their oven and are quite good for a quick and light lunch. Customer service is very friendly and pretty quick even if they are busy.

Me and my friend was visiting Sydney from Canada and stayed on the Pitt street. We found the Cupcake place while we were looking for breakfast place. Such an awesome place to have breakfast and enjoy the Sydney atmosphere. The bakery items were fresh and very delicious the owner is also very friendly and gave us advice on what to choose, I would strongly recommend to try their plain croissant and chicken bread sandwich, we would love to go back

Found this place by accident. Needed a coffee and saw the almond croissants in the window as I walked past - couldn't resist. Almond croissant was fresh from the oven (toasty warm) and is a unique take on the traditional style (more like the crispy coating of a Chinese bakery pineapple bun which crumbled when I removed from the paper bag). Not a bad interpretation, although could miss the spot if you're expecting a traditional almond croissant.

Ok peeps - some seriously delicious savoury treats from a skilled baker! Just demolished the pork belly with coleslaw roll with chilli and aioli - the quality freshness and crunch from the fresh baked baguette combined with the well proportioned and perfectly cooked pork was a delight. I also had a large flat white and walked out of there for a total of $14 - flawless simple delicious - and I’m not a fan of cup cakes! Well done and thanks!

Walking past this store, my wife and I decided to stop by as everything looked so fresh and tasty. The pork baguette and almond croissant were fantastic. Coffee was nice too. The staff were also super kind and friendly. Will definitely be returning here again! 5/5

We found this little gem while staying in the city for a few nights - and so glad we did. Best coffee we found in the city by far - strong and you taste the coffee - not coffee flavoured milk like you often experience elsewhere. Also the pastries etc are excellent - all baked on the premises and delicious. The sandwiches also look great. Run by lovely people as well.

This is an awesome bakery! I often come here to grab goodies to bring for client meetings. Great coffee, loveliest cupcakes and friands, tasty and delicious fresh lunch baguette rolls. The staff are brilliant, very warm and friendly people who have obvious passion for their craft of bakery goods. It's a sweet little gem in the CBD that you won't regret stopping by.

Couldn't get any cupcakes at the cafe, which was disappointing. You would need to pre order the cupcakes at least 2 days in advance. The coffee here is smashing, the best, believe the hype from other reviews. Also great friendly customer service. Definitely will return for a cupcake and coffee, when we next in the area! Also love the cool coffee cup prints ☕

A friend of mine bought cupcakes from this place. They are made very well, with different creative decorations and flavours. I ate the one with chocolate and it was so, so good! I don’t know if in that moment my brain needed serotonin, or it was just because that cupcake was delicious, or a combination of both things, but eating it gave me good mood!

Best freshly baked goods I have ever eaten and all made in house from scratch. Your almond croissant berry friand, savoury rolls and coffee! As if this isn’t enough, they also provide the best service!! Best service I’ve ever had in any cafe and so much joy and connection from the owners to their customers! I will be back …

Cupcakes on Pitt should be a go to for anyone wanting the best coffee, pastries or lunch rolls in Sydney. Fresh bread baked in house, coffee that tastes like coffee and epic service! They are also kind and look after their loyal customers. Cupcakes on Pitt is just down the street from the best phone repair shop in Sydney - Screen Fixed!

  • Antonio Logronio

I didn't have/try their but dammm their coffee was good, only matched by their amazing/lovely customer service! Also a large flavoured latte will cost u $5 here whereas most other places/cafes/coffee shops will charge u anywhere between $5.50-$5.70 so I highly/truly recommend this place for a coffee in the Sydney CBD!!! …

Is one of the little gems of the city. It doesn’t look much but the produce is absolutely sumptuous. Great coffee, their slogan is “you taste the coffee not the milk”, which is a pet hate of so many other cafes! Pastries are light & delicate and melt in your mouth! don’t be late or you’ll miss out they seem to sell out early.

  • Big Mike

Whilst all the hipster coffee shops are closed on weekends, this amazing unassuming little shop is full of cheer early mornings and the best crunchy breakfast baguettes and pastries in town! Several regulars stopped in while I was waiting, ordering "the usual", which is the best sign of quality I can think of!

  • Nancy Nguyen

Staff deserve more than 5 stars! The guy was so nice and helpful! He is definitely passionate about his coffee and pastries. The croissants are so good! Can't ever go wrong with the plain croissant. My friend said the baguette was super good as well. Will have to stop by next time we are in Sydney!

  • Robert B

Super tasty cupcakes and snacks, had a lovely chat with the owners who have had the business many years and take lots of pride in what they do. Recommend stopping by one day and giving it a try, I had the Red Velvet and the Salted Caramel cupcakes and they were scrumptious! Thank you!

  • Sue

A absolutely huge thank you to Young and the team for the cupcakes on such late notice! The cupcakes are so lovely and I'm so pleased about their top notch customer service despite me making the mistake of giving the incorrect date. 10/10 would recommend Cupcakes on Pitt!

Cupcakes on Pitt is an absolute pure mouth pleasing drooling delight of freshness you could ever imagine. All products made fresh on site, a family business hidden right in front of you in Pitt Street. Cameron suggested the roast pork rolls…. Simply WOW …

You're literal "hole in the hall" place. No cupcakes here, but the homemade pastries and bacon and egg rolls (scrambled) with spicy Mayo are excellent. The quality exceeds the stores physical presence.

I bought cupcakes, pork belly rolls and friands. The pork roll was very crispy, friands were very moist inside. The cupcake’s soft cream and moist cake was very delightful. Thank you for your kindness, it was very delicious!

  • amanda mumford

Amazing cakes with amazing prices. I couldn't believe when they said 6 cakes for $21.00. Most places are charging at least $5.50 for 1!! Service was excellent and my mixed selection were fresh and delicious. Thank you

  • JISU CHOI

This almond croissant is different. Amazing!! bread, all the staff are friendly. Perfect size for breakfast, fantastic delicious. when i go to work, i alway buy here for my breakfast. …

  • 황희림

Well-baked baguettes and almond croissants were the best. I ate it during vacation, but it's a taste I want to eat every day!!! It was even more delicious thanks to the lovely and kind service

  • L

Do not understand the high ratings. No cupcakes as they must be pre ordered. Few Available pastries that look very underwhelming. Even Starbucks has a nicer selection than this.

  • Stefan M

Amazing, fresh baguettes, plus an owner who goes out of his way to welcome you to his shop and makes you want to return. There is not a better boulangerie anywhere in the CBD.

  • Lili Mann

Really nice bakery, a good selection of sweet and savoury foods. Bought their bacon & egg baguettes which were of excellent quality. Customer service was also very good.

  • Melissa Henwood

Great little bakery located downtown Sydney! Their lemon meringue cupcakes are my absolute favorite, and my friend loves the tiramisu one.

  • 김민재

The sweet croissant was added to the owner's kindness, and it was the best taste I hope you can taste the taste of happiness.
