I decided to stop in to this establishment as it has been some time since I’ve dined at Coffee Culture. After ordering my coffee and breakfast sandwich, I noticed the table that I was hoping to sit at was full of dishes and coffee cups. While I waited for my order I kindly asked the person making my sandwich if she could please ask one of the staffers to clear the table so that I could dine. They had the audacity to ask me if I could go and get a paper towel from their front area to wipe the table. Excuse me? So now the expectation is for the customer to clear the tables instead of the staff? I let them know that the table needed more than a general wiping and I was not about to do that. They then sighed and asked one of the team members to do the task. I don’t know what has happened to the Coffee Culture that I fondly remembered but this is not it. With that said, when I was finished my meal, I not only cleared my table for the next patron (something that I would do regardless) but also brought it to the front counter for them to take away. I will not be returning to this establishment. This is not the Culture for me.

I visited Coffee Culture today with the intention of buying my toddler a cookie. The person at cash was picking scabs and skin off their lips and flicking it everywhere when I was walking in and during our conversation. When I expressed my disgust to the manager, they assured me the person is a certified food handler (which made it seem worse to me because they should know better!!!!) and said they would talk to the person. They offered no coupon or discount for my next visit and didn’t seem too concerned about the complaint. If this is how that employee behaves at the front cash, I don’t want to know what happens behind the scenes. Very grossed out and will not be back!!!

$8 for 2 simple espresso based drinks. 3 staff hanging out at the counter. Not a single fresh cup of espresse was brewed that not-very-busy Sat morning... Just don't order any drinks (Espresso, Americano, etc.) that aren't sweetened/flavored because you will chuck it after the first sip. Unfortunately this has happened more than once. Bad attitude from the staff seems to be a trend as well... But especially in post lockdown Ontario, what do you expect? A positive customer service interaction? How dare you bother the teenage staff with your selfish, uncool, requests? Great location and patio plus good looking pastries at the counter which I have never tried before.

Coffee Culture Cafe & Eatery is a charming and cozy spot for coffee enthusiasts and food lovers alike. Their menu offers a wide selection of delicious coffee beverages, including expertly brewed espressos, lattes, and specialty drinks. The cafe also serves a variety of tasty breakfast and lunch options, such as sandwiches, salads, and baked goods. The welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff create a comfortable environment for enjoying a cup of coffee or a satisfying meal. Whether you're looking for a quiet place to work, catch up with friends, or simply indulge in a delightful coffee break, Coffee Culture Cafe & Eatery is a great choice.

No complaints about the drinks or service. My husband and I go there almost every day. Lately, the management has posted a notice saying there is a 60 min limit at the tables inside. I don't have a problem with that except I don't believe it is being enforced. 6 of the 9 seating areas were taken up by students with laptops and paperwork spread all over and they weren't going anywhere! We were there for 50 min and all of them were there before we got there. I see this every time. This is not a library, it's a restaurant! Perhaps if they put a sign on each table re the time limit, that might help but they need to enforce it!

Hubby and I love coming here when we go for our long walks, gives us energy for our trip They offer a reasonably priced breaky combo, a good variety of pastries and cakes, and delicious coffee options, especially ice coffee. Seating is very comfortable - soft red plush armchairs and booths. I have seen some complaints about poor service, have to disagree. We have always been warmly greeted and orders are taken and completed promptly. Thank you to the staff at Coffee Culture, keep up the great work. We love coming here

Where do I begin…. I have been coming here for sometime now and usually dealt with rude staff but normally they would just leave me alone. Unfortunately, this changed when not only was I given horrible attitude for zero reason. I was asked to leave after being in my seat for 45 minutes! Is this how you treat paying customers?!? I was in the middle of a job interview when was approached and asked to leave I tried to tell them that I needed a few more minutes but was forced to leave at that moment! Honestly just shocked that paying customers are treated this way

The place is comfortable and inviting. Offering you wifi, comfy seating with a fireplace, with lot of seating options. The food, the snacks as well as the desserts, all well made. The drinks are hot and brought to your table immediately after you’ve placed the order. The staff is friendly, and fast. They offer two for one on all their baked items after a certain time, which is a treat for someone on a budget. This is a place to definitely meet their friends for a coffee, first time meet in a public place, or just doing school work, this place is it.

Young girl who served us didnt seem too pleased to be working today . We are new to Burlington and as such are checking out places to have our morning espresso (which apparently is not coffee) and after i ordered i asked if they had loyalty cards which they do just not for people who prefer espresso. When i questioned the fact that espresso is coffee she replied a little terse..."those are the rules" then walked away. As there are other coffee, sorry espresso places around i will not have to return here

I like this location for coffee culture but the washrooms have been very dirty lately. There are two washrooms in here. Only one is open for customers but the other one is still being used by employees. The ones used by customers is very dirty. Please investigate. Even on a hot summer day no air conditioning. Keep the doors open. There are flies inside the restaurant. I am a regular customer and I come here almost every day. But the cleaning is not up-to the mark. I might stop coming if this does not change. Expecting to hear from you soon

  • Coral Courtney

Most of the time I order from skip the dishes. The food is very good. It is not cheap but the strawberry and pecan salad I ordered feed 10 at $4 a serving and there was a ton of strawberries and pecans and everyone was happy. The actual location impress me less. The layout seems somewhat poorly designed to order. I have no idea why they don't just do what Starbucks does and leave the milk and cream out. The seating was comfortable and cozy. The croissant was fresh and still tender. I would order from them again.

  • Shelley Foster

The setting is quaint. The prices are fine. But boy does the service need some serious improvement. The woman taking the orders did not hear a request to have reduced dressing even though it was mentioned three time. So my table mates lunch was wrong. My turkey sandwich had no turkey in it. When I went to ask where it was, they put two slivers of cold turkey on my supposed to be warm sandwich. The gentleman next to us got his order incorrectly served also. The star is for the iced tea only. I will not go back.

  • UPG

Nice place, decent coffee but the customer service can be improved. I was there in the evening of Sept 6th. The lady in front of me forgot to ask for soy milk (the server didn't know much about the menu. Once all her questions were answered, she might have forgotten to ask for soy milk) she politely ask for it, she even took her wallet out to pay for it. The first response from the girl at the counter was "did you pay for it?" with loads of attitude. The lady turned red. I felt really bad for her.

Our weekend coffee fix. We always ask for extra hot latte and we always get it exactly that way. Always I love the vibe of this place. This place does not disappoint.

Don't know why l keep going back. Avocado sandwich burnt, flat, trace amount of avocado. Two slices cucumber. A little lettuce more than wilted, soggy. One little sauce of turkey. Bread was good. Capuchino milk flat. Not frothy. Tried another day still no froth. Not even close to picture on display. Staff very nice. Not responsible for what they have to work with.

Today is my sister’s birthday and We just had coffee here because she love to have Latte with heart decoration. Gurleen took our order and made it amazing. Special thanks to Gurleen for such wonderful customer service. It was about to close, so she can only serve it to go but as we requested her to make it for dine in, she did it just for my sister’s birthday. You guys are amazing

  • Mathew Daniels

Went to meet a friend for coffee and good conversation. This is a busy location but has plenty of comfortable seating. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the coffee is always tastey there. The strong smell of burnt toast came wafting over, but I wasn't having a stroke at the time. Later there was that unmistakable scent of fried cheese (mmmmm, fried cheese). Overall a nice place.

  • Rebecca Audette

Such a cozy and relaxing coffee shop that's great to go to work or chat with some friends. The food is great, especially all their baked goods, and most importantly the welcoming charming staff. I've seen some complaints in other reviews about them being understaffed, but so many more about how wonderful the employees there are. Definitely pick this place over a starbucks any day!

  • John Andrews

Second time at this location for a latte and a pastry and that's it. Second time I've had the worst Latte ever there. My wife had a horrid matcha latte there too. Both binned after a few sips. Milk burned in both, and way too hot as well.

All in all a good coffee experience! The only reason CCC didn't hit a perfect 5 was because of a less than passionate employee who took our order. With a little more morning spunk from staff, customers will feel a little more welcome!

The service was perfectly cordial and friendly. We received our hot chocolates in good time and they were hot and delicious unlike a prior experience at a different establishment that charges nearly half again the amount we paid here. The only real complaint is that it is a bit cramped with the number of tables they have squeezed in... otherwise very good.

  • Pia Mancini

Coffee culture is always consistent. I usually go for their coffee and breakfast sandwich value meal. Its a great breakfast for $4.99 Their salads and sandwiches are very good and reasonably priced. This location is nice. Lots of seating areas and tables outside as well.

Nice ambiance, comfortable and friendly feel. Coffee is very good and I enjoyed my oatmeal raisin cookie. The chocolate chip muffin was a bit dry and dense. Like many coffee shops, I found it quite pricey. Didn't realize we had to ask for a china mug when we were dining in, so we all got a paper cup.

The Americano’s are very bland. There is great seating and maybe some of the other none coffee based drinks are okay. If you are not picky about how your coffee tastes and you would like a nice place to sit and people watch, then why not give this place a try. Otherwise, there are plenty of other coffee shops that are far superior.

  • Cory Sakai

Busy dessert and coffee cafe. Decent dessert selection but it's a chain and has those sorts of desserts. Nice leather chairs and marble top tables, but tables are crowded and gives a cozy feel so don't come in here with a wheelchair. Line up went quickly and efficiently. Open later than the other dessert and coffee places around.

  • Company Account

We like the coffee here but are tired of coming into restaurants where the proprietors consider cleanliness and tidiness as the least of their priorities! The washroom was filthy and had broken equipment. The patio was equally as dirty. Respect for your business transcends all areas involved in operating it.

Ordered a turkey avacado sandwich. Soggy bread, bare minimum pieces of avacado inside and non edible turkey. Gave half to the dog and other half back to the ladies behind the counter. Poor experience

Coffee Culture is a really nice little coffee shop. Great location downtown Burlington close to the lake shore. Grab a beverage and walk along the lake front. The interior has a nice ambiance and there is also outside seating available. Good friendly service. The food is also fairly good light fair...

The iced coffee was decent but it had way too much cream and ice in it that it quickly turned watery and tasteless. The service wasn't great, though they may have been preoccupied by their foam machine being out of order, which was also disappointing as many coffee choices were unavailable.

  • Emma “EmmaMCD” McDougall

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff! Unfortunately they do not carry almond milk, and am not sure if they have any milk substitutes. The smoothies are very good, they too are made with milk. This is a great place, although do not have too much option for people who don’t like milk.

Coffee Culture has great food and coffee in general especially their fair-trade coffee. Minus three stars for that Indian worker who usually makes the sandwiches there. Rude, no smile, no hello, and put my sandwich on a wet plate.

You expect a bit more from a downtown Burlington cafe. Breakfast items leave something to be desired, an easy improvement would be to butter the bagels and english muffins and toast them a bit more than just a hint. Tiny bit of seasoning would go a long way as well. Coffee not bad.

  • Diplomatic Monk

Good place to hang around in Burlington and used to enjoy my evening cuppa coffee. Used to love the espressos served with a biscotti. Their pastries and smoothies are worth a try. The quality dipped in the last few years. Hopefully they will spring back.

Love going here! Amazing brunch food. Great atmosphere inside, often go here in fall and sit by the realistic looking fire. Nice outdoor eating area as well. Only thing: would recommend asking them to double cup your hot coffee. (The heat easyly went through the sleeve.)

An average coffee-bakery-snack shop. If you’re looking for specialty (or even good) coffee - this isn’t the place (that capp picture says it all). The smoothie and the cakes were pretty decent though. Nothing extraordinarily pleasing.
