You can find it all at Cockle Bay Wharf If you’re looking for a a lovely afternoon and evening out, you can’t go past a visit to Sydney’s Darling Harbour and Cockle Bay Wharf. Here you can sip a spritzer at sunset, dine at one of their many venues and enjoy waterfront entertainment such as at Sydney’s first floating cinema, Mov’in Boat. There’s plenty of great dining establishments from Baia the Italian to Blackbird cafe or even a dessert at Lindt Cafe. This iconic dining destination meets all criteria with a range of cuisines well as providing an alfresco experience by the water. For our visit, we ate at Adria Bar and Restaurant, a Mediterranean inspired menu featuring seafood, pastas, meat or salads and plenty of refreshing drinks. We enjoyed lamb souvlaki, fattoush salad and some amazing barramundi, all fresh and healthy, served super efficiently. We loved their range of cocktails and watched the sunset with an Aperol Spritz and Mojito. Such as lovely way to spend the afternoon. We can recommend Cockle Bay Wharf as the perfect pre-theatre dining destination to enjoy a meal before sitting down to a movie at the floating cinema. For something a little different, “Mov’in Boat” is certainly a cool experience. It is essentially a spectacular 1000 sqm floating platform showcasing movies in the open air, with spectators watching from the floating bed, row boat or even their own private boats. Screenings take place from Tuesday’s – Sundays and take your pick of movies; whether it be a romantic comedy, old classic, family or blockbuster on a 4K quality screen. Watch the movie from the comfort of a bed with a big cushions at $99.90 for two people, complete with a bedside table for you to put your food and drinks. You can even take your own yacht in (of course if you’re blessed enough to have your own!) for a fee $49.90 per boat. This is limited to 15 a night. Even a row boat with tailored comfy seats is an option for the film spectating. Hire a row boat for $119.90 (up to four people -2 adults and 2 kids).

CBW has gone downhill so badly take a look at the public toilets! These are a safety hazard and should be closed immediately! Disgusting, filthy, and very unsafe. The walkway parade has rubbish and and looks unkempt. So disappointed, it used to be such a highly regarded area. Photos of the public toilets for your viewing pleasure... I say that sarcastically.... EDIT AFTER REPLY: I actually did call and left a message clearly you only wrote this message to make you appear to be doing something about the situation. Surely you would know the state of those toilets beforehand they have clearly been like that for months, easily. Do better.

We went to "Rouge", or as I like to call it, Ray's place (haha). A niche cigar bar on the rooftop. The owner is lovely, extremely helpfull and happy to mingle. They supply cigars, light food, indoor seating and outdoor seating for your cigar smoking pleasure. Some great beers and spirits. He has live music, and occasionally cigar based functions. One of the last places left in sydney to sit back and enjoy the "atmosphere" If you like to take a stogie, and your in darling harbour, you should definately give it a go!

Rudest waiter ever! Sat down and we were immediately told to go upstairs. We just wanted a drink, if the restaurant was closed, there were far nicer ways of imparting this information, not by barking at a small group of tourists. Will not go back ever!!

Cockle Bay Wharf is a beautiful spot to meet up and spend time with family and friends. There are lots of restaurants, bars and cafes to sit and eat overlooking the water across to Darling Harbour. The area is popular with both tourists and locals. It has easy access from public transport, as well as a parking stations around it.

One of the escalators has been out of order for a very long time now. And the Management, instead of making the remaining one escalator, carrying people upstairs, it carries people downstairs, contrary to the many other places, which will make people to go up easily. Obviously the management does not use their brain.

Wonderful stay at Darling Harbour Marina. Power and water available and dockmaster as required. Convenient to everything and staff are very helpful! See Favid or Craig for your docking needs. Restaurants deliver to your vessel!Bonus!

The area has lots to offer and is quite nice to walk around. The Wharf is beside the marina so there's plenty of boats around to watch. The wharf goes in away from the main footpath so it wasn't as crowded. There was also an interesting fountain with lots of birds.

Great shopping, entertainment and food. So many choices of cuisine. A food court offers more fast food types of food, while there are also many different options for sit down food. Get your hair, nails done. Or enjoy a sweet treat at the fudge shop. Currently there is a 30+ meter Ferris wheel outside too!

Nice atmosphere, very popular but I felt like a tourist in my own city. Service was friendly but slow. Seafood plate was impressive but was definitely NOT worth $180. Also those nasty yellow potato chips from the freezer (same as my local fish and chip place) is beneath them - they can do better.

Went for dinner in the area 6pm on Saturday. Leisurely stroll to the restaurant, just enough bustling on a weekend night as it should be. Loved the vibe of people out and the fireworks that went off at around 8.30pm. Fantastic

An overall good place to visit. We had our corporate lunch, food was just ok. It was missing a touch of salt, pepper and spice. It had good options of unlimited drinks but not many options of quality food. Their desert was tasty.

This place is gorgeous. There's also a huge, and I mean huuuge outdoor playground for kids and smaller boutiques and food venues in the same location so the older folks can putz around for a while...good luck trying to pry the kids away from that awesome playground lol

Not a good place to be with family on the nights of weekend if you are not heading to the bar. Mostly people come here for drinks and chillout. Otherwise one of the good place to visit, connected to the Pyrmont bridge and barrangaroo wharf. A good walk with a view.

Beautiful part of Sydney, with some great restaurants and some of the best back drops for photos. The wharf staff are very helpful and go to great lengths to ensure you're all set if weather is changing for the worst.

  • Lucinda Koulaouzos

Always a good amount of life here, especially a warm night, when the restaurants offer seating on the walkway to look out on the water view of the surrounding buildings and boats. Could do with better lighting More

Went to Cockle Bay Wharf to see firework display, it was fantastic. Also in that area is the aquarium, which is well worth a visit. Lots of Cafes and Restaurants. The Blackbird pub restaurant is also worth trying.

Most beautiful wharf around Darling Harbour, especially the lights on after evening. There are a lot of restaurants with great views, and so pricey. But it's nice to stroll here. Not crowded at night.
