Don't go any where else. This place restored my faith on staying local. Bought a Cannister Filter for my aquarium. The one that it is replacing is bought elsewhere and it was faulty out of the box (leaking and the pump was intermittently going on and off). The other store in Blacktown does not do refunds. They couldn't replace it as it was the last one. So I was stuck with a broken one. I guess it is just my luck but when I came home with the 2nd one from this store, it also had leaks. The owner offered me a refund but I really just wanted a working filter. Luckily there was another one in stock. We even tested it on site to make sure it works. Excellent service.

Went to these guys to purchase some simple fish for my daughter after leaving another pet shop who were very rude. Two young blokes assisted us with our choice and purchase, and offered both food and water conditioner that met our needs without going for what would bring them the most money. And they did it all with a smile which is most important! Very happy and will be back later if we need to grow our tank, thankyou guys :)

Came here after going to Crystal Pets and being let down how bad that place has gone. The outside looks a little shabby but don't judge a book by its cover. I purchased a baby budgie and cage at a really good price. Store is clean and well stocked. They have an amazing range of birds for sale. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

In short I had an amazing experience and cannot wait to go back. Its 1.5hrs from where I live but you cant beat the customer service.

Purchased a budgie from this place 2/3 months ago asked the bloke working there to clip the wings, got home saw a bit of blood on one of the wings, thought it'll heal, today 3 months later..bird is still scared and just realised that same wing is bleeding. Pissed off like never before...

New owner has done a lot to the shop, great work. The best part is the section behind the counter where the hand raised baby birds are perched, so cute and Well looked after. Lovely bird room and great variety of birds and fish, would definitely recommend this local pet store

Abundant smiles, all kinds of animals and great knowledge on all areas. Central Pets at Rooty Hill has way better service than Crystal Wires. I ended up purchasing a lovely hand-crafted bird stand for my Rainbow Lorikeet at an awesome price. Highly recommend a visit here!

Huge variety of birds and fish are available here in good condition. Hand tamed parrots also available. Staff is hard working and knowledgeable. We ended up buying a Cockatiel with its food in reasonable rates. Will highly recommend this pet shop to others.

I love this pet store soooo much! I always get any of my animals from here because they are always in a good and healthy condition. I recommend buying from this pet store as most of their animals (birds & rodents) are already tame and friendly.

Nice pet store. Would be helpful if they did some more handling of the hand raised birds though. I drove 2 hours to buy a hand raised conure and they had lost all their tameness so I ended up leaving disappointed.

I bought a bunny from Central. pets. A mini lop he is a friendly lil fella with an easy going nature.Very tamed. No problems health wise and thanks to central pets.This shop has the best qty pets in town.

Huge range of reasonably priced birds, fish and furry friends !! Could of bought a few of each but we stuck with buddy the bunny and we couldn’t be happier! He’s so friendly and fits right in to our home

This very kind man gave me a lovebird egg for my broody bird 'Adam' who had laid 3 eggs but diesnt have a partner! Sadly I broke the egg on the way home ..

The birds are kept in bad conditions. The cages and birds were dirty. I don't recommend buying a bird from this shop.
