Carlingwood Shopping Centre has long been my go-to destination for a comprehensive and enjoyable shopping experience. The centre's extensive range of stores, excellent customer service, and vibrant atmosphere contribute to its charm, making every visit an exciting affair. Nestled in the heart of Ottawa, Carlingwood Shopping Centre offers an impressive array of stores that cater to all my shopping needs. Whether I am looking for the latest fashions, a new novel, a beautiful piece of jewellery, or the freshest produce, Carlingwood consistently delivers. The centre houses a diverse mix of well-known national retailers and local boutiques, providing an exciting variety that keeps me coming back. One of the aspects that sets Carlingwood Shopping Centre apart is its commitment to customer convenience. The centre layout is thoughtfully designed, making it easy to navigate through the spacious, clean corridors. It also offers plenty of parking space, ensuring a hassle-free experience right from the moment I arrive. Plus, the free Wi-Fi is a nice bonus! Carlingwood's food court deserves special mention. Offering a wide variety of cuisine options, it caters to all taste buds. Whether I fancy a quick snack or a hearty meal, I am always spoilt for choice. The seating area is clean and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and recharge during a shopping trip. Customer service at Carlingwood Shopping Centre is consistently top-notch. The centre management is visibly dedicated to providing a safe, clean, and friendly environment for all visitors. The staff at the individual stores are polite and helpful, always ready to assist and enhance my shopping experience.

This mall has so many empty units due to charging rent that is absurd for this mall. Geared towards seniors and always will be. They have not updated anything of note in years. Too many eye clinics and phone kiosks. No notable men's clothing stores to speak off. The dollar store makes this mall look much busier than it actually is. Friendly environment and shopping experiences but the lack of options is a big downer. The Canadian Tire doesn't offer any boost to the stores around it. They have a seperate walk around entrance that isn't connected directly to the mall for easy entrance. Usually people smoking by the doors, pretty big turn off the minute you enter the mall. Unless it's Christmas season, try to avoid this mall. There really is no reason to give this mall 4-5 stars. It simply doesn't offer enough for everyone. It's a very niche mall with a small demographic. The retailers here struggle because there really are no anchor stores to pull people in. Again, this is a friendly and nice mall. The 5 star reviews aren't warranted if you're looking at being honest. It's great to take small kids on an outing but shopping here you will be disappointed. Food court is the same as every other mall for the most part. Just a bland and boring place to be overall.

Beware of Romas using the fake petition scam to try to get money off you at this mall. They have a clipboard with an official-looking paper that is asking for some type of donation to a deaf/mute charity. They use the name of an official Canadian organization, but the money does not go to them. They ask you to sign and write your name and address, its all BOGUS. They target this mall because it’s mostly senior citizens. I warned a woman who was about to be scammed and the Roma mute girl tried to show me its a real organization by showing me their website. I know its a real organization, but they didn’t mandate them to collect money on their behalf! The scammers just use the organization’s name to collect money they keep. This scam is everywhere in busy touristic parts of Europe, can’t believe the Romas are now doing it in Ottawa too. Ridiculous. Get them out of this mall.

I have always liked Carlingwood. Easy to find parking and stores as all on one level. My bank is in the mall, a new bubble juice store that is deserving of a visit if you like those types of drinks they make them better than many I've tried in the city. My favourite chocolate store Purdys always gets my business while I'm in the mall. The dollar store downstairs is huge and carries anything you are needing that the other locations have in stock. Plus even more choices. There is a cobbler in the mall I like and he does a great job fixing my shoes and boots. Slightly pricey but worth it because of the excellent workmanship.

The mall itself obvious is not a alive as others in the city, but it's a decent place to grab a coffee, Timmies is quite popular. For me that's on the way to the local library, you can cut through the mall from taking the bus. There's a kernels popcorn, and plenty of spaces to sit, all on one floor, which makes it more of an elderly place to hang out, but it's less busy that way so it's alright. There is also a Canadian Tire now, but not accessible through the mall, and best to not go there, if you read the 1 star reviews.

The mall is not too big, and not crowded, I even would like to say it is pretty quiet mall. However, the mall has Canadian Tire, which I would say it is much bigger than any other Canadian tire stores. It looks much better layout, high class looks than any other Canadian tire stores. The mall itself is clean, and not far from Loblaws store as well. I like the atmosphere here, which is not too crowded. Very relaxing to shop here. The mall also has some restaurants inside, like; subway sandwich, etc.

  • Liz Verge

As a wheelchair user this mall is not easy to navigate. The outside sidewalks are small and sloped towards traffic which makes it hard to go straight. The inside of the mall is covered in large carpeted sections making pushing a chair much more physically demanding. The Lowblaws entrance is surrounded by metal posts making it impossible to get to once the mall is closed. It has nice stores but nothing worth the aggravation.

The Carlingwood Shopping Centre is a charming and cozy place to shop. The atmosphere is welcoming and the store selection is excellent. They offer a great mix of stores, from clothing to home goods, and everything in between. The decor and layout make for an enjoyable shopping experience and the staff is always friendly. If you're looking for a shopping centre with a lot to offer, look no further than Carlingwood.

  • Cobali

It’s a shopping centre amongst the locals, with very convenient bus access. There is also a grocery store attached to the centre Overall, the selection of merchandise here is plenty. However, if u saw Toronto or Dubai base shopping malls then don’t go there definitely disappoint u, because it’s not a modern abundance or exotic place. Could be a good choice for practical day today shoppers.

I took my children to the mall this year to see socially distanced Santa, and it was honestly the most AMAZING Santa experience. Extremely COVID conscious and very well laid out. Santa is located in an empty store instead of out in the public hallway. With appointments there is no need for long line ups. The entire experience was just amazing, and we have an iconic 2020 Christmas photo :)

  • Steve Galloway

Carling wood Shopping Centre is a respectably appointed mall which, like so many others of its genre struggles to keep retailers as consumer trends evolve. Well kept, and still supported by robust retail operations including pharmacy, jewellery, sports goods, and many more, all augmented by a food hall, Carlingwood is in much better shape than most malls, and a pleasurable experience.

  • J Moreau

This mall was once a thriving center. The government's ludicrous response to covid19 has caused many businesses, once in the mall, to go under. The new Canadian Tire store has boosted it somewhat, but it is nowhere near what it once was. The elderly still use it as a great spot to walk inside away from severe weather. The mall is one giant loop, thus great for walking several laps.

  • Claude Levesque

This mall has nice stores, however the carpeting in most of the mall corridors... warning to shoppers!!! It's 30 years old!!!!! That carpet has been there since I was 30, I'm 67!!!! Imagine the allergens, bacteria and germs the carpet is putting in the air every day? Other malls have tile!!! Get with it Carlingwood Mall owner or management!!! Do something, stop being so cheap!!!??

  • Laura Proulx

Accessibility: Fully accessible with main entrance in the front. -Lots of space to navigate. -Decent selection of stores. -Front parking gets busy but there's parking all around the mall. -OK selection of stores. This mall has two stores I can't find anywhere else in Ottawa so I'm very grateful for this. -Overall quiet here, a lot of more senior shoppers.

  • Allan Aguilar

This mall looks tired. 20 years ago, this is my family's GO-TO mall. Nowadays, it is lacking is glamour. My wife and I go to this mall just for a walk and the number of stores is starting to dwindle. The choices from food centre is only a handful, not that attractive anymore. This mall needs a facelift and perhaps new management and attractions.

  • Rebeka Rollocks

Excellent mall for those who have mobility issues as most shops and services are on one level. There is access to elevators for those who need. The mall also features the new Canadian Tire. For your grocery needs a Loblaws in conveniently located in the mall too. Many beverage, snack and meal options in the food courts.

  • Anita E

Great single floor mall (only two stores on a lower level, with elevator and escalator access). Easy to visit with kids. Lots of various themed events throughout the year. We do miss the holiday train rides in December though, the kids would look forward to it - any chance of those coming back one day? :)

  • Jenn Mckay

It has changed a lot over the years, there is no longer a play area for kids, with the exeption of the rides that cost. There are also no longer many young adult stores, so the mall is amazing for a quiet setting, for elders, but not as great anymore for single moms, which is why I used to love it there.

  • Miguel Domingo

One of the first mall in Ottawa, I enjoy going there for a coffee and meeting place with friends. It is just sad to see many retailers/shops closed and closing over the years specially this few years. And I hope they font close the completely. Nice to see Canadian tire been added to the building.

  • Chris Doyle

I recently visited Carlingwood Shopping Centre and was so impressed with the variety of stores available. I was able to find exactly what I was looking for, in a great location with easy access to parking and public transit. The staff were also helpful and friendly. It's a great place to shop!

  • David Carlton

Decent selection of shops, but a surprisingly confusing layout and unintuitive map system that had me walking in circles. I can navigate West Edmonton Mall just fine, but apparently not Carlingwood Shopping Centre. The mall would definitely benefit from a second floor to streamline things.

  • Janet Fredette

Clean, easy access, good parking. This mall serves a purpose beyond shopping. There are ample other services ( dentist, optical, clinic, gym etc ) and the ease of access allows for seniors and people with disabilities a place to shop, eat and meet. My favourite mall in Ottawa.

  • Hisham Obeidat

I love this mall small but everything’s you need is there, one stop shop they have a nice stores like Purdys chocolate, dollarama , virgin mobile, Bell , DQ RBC the food court is good second cup , tim bank and others The parking lot it’s huge the mall is very clean as well.

  • Wendy Lawson

Always like the one level, easy to find everything layout. Very wide aisles, carpeted flooring, warm fuzzy feeling in this mall. If you're looking for a phone store, they're all here. The new Canadian Tire store is here now too. Like stepping into an alternate universe.

  • RockFox!

I will say that sears looks different :) in all seriousness, the Canadian tire is very nice, it felt kinda weird walking into it when you remember what used to be there before, it's a quiet little mall and I hope it has a future in today's threatening online market

  • Mai Huong

Nice mall, clean restroom and helpful staff. Next to Canadian Tire and Loblaw super market, so it's convenient for family shopping. Food court was nice and has Timmy's, seems a good place to do exercise at early morning by walking around and around inside the mall!

  • James H

A shopping mall popular amongst the locals, with very convenient bus access. There is a grocery store attached to the mall. Overall, the selection of merchandise here is plenty but perhaps not abundance or exotic. Could be a good choice for practical shoppers.

  • Josie Walls

I had the pleasure of dining at Carlingwood Shopping Centre recently, and it was simply amazing. The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic place to eat!

  • seth manery

Well Canadian Tire has arrived. I loved this mall when Sears was around. Lets hop that the increased housing prices and the surrounding boom of retail across the road leads to more businesses renting the many spaces available here now. NYfries is gone.. :(

  • Burnuts

The mall is fantastic in my opinion.. it’s clean, up to date lots of retail options. The food court is limited but covers the basics! Pretzel place is gone tho. Christmas season is by far the best time to be at the mall for sure! Very festively

  • Yodaman Solo

I can’t remember the last time I visited this mall if I even ever have but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a nice little shopping centre with some good stores and a adequate food court. The covid thing has really limited the amount of

  • Ayat Tadjalli

You will find many excellent brands in this shopping centre. Great location. access to buses' line. Especially in Winters, you can spend your time in this centre for a fun shopping. There is a very large 2 store Canadian Tire in this Mall.

  • Aron Feuer

Carlingwood mall is an unusual mall in the city of Ottawa. Unusual because it is accessible, easy to get in and out, and has no fewer than 12 places to buy or service your cell phones. It also has a fantastic Loblaws that is not so large

  • J H

This is a great mall, it's clean and has plenty of seating to stop and rest when visiting multiple stores. The bathrooms are well maintained. The selection of stores meets a lot of needs but they are notably missing a pet store and an

  • Doug Johnson

Tried to find washrooms and not a single sign indicating their locations and once I found a worker to direct me to the washroom, the hallway was so narrow two people could not pass each other without going sideways. What a dumb setup.

  • Chelsea Peters

Decent store selection, if you don’t have high standards. Everything you need in one place. But please beware of the massive crowds of geezers and be careful not to walk too fast or else you’ll plow them down like a bowling ball.

  • Arash Fekrat

I was here last Wednesday for the first tome. I only left happy with all staff, from front desk to the back! The lady at the front desk and Rachelle and Dr.James L made my visit efficint and painelss in every way.

  • Kate McGill

Cute little mall that has everything! It is a hidden gem! I do my eyebrows, shop at my favourite places, eat at the Greek restaurant and do my banking there! There is a beautiful shop for bridal dresses as well!

  • Leanne Pilon

Love shopping here not very far from home to do groceries at loblaws ,dollarama, or eat good lunch at the court . We cant forget chat and tea at Tim hortons. I've been a customer at RBC for over 35 years

  • Sherry Honey

Wonderful low traffic place to meet a friend and have a Timmies. Of course there are other kiosks that offer food. The carpets are well maintained. Sales people are friendly. Shoppers are friendly also.

  • Dummy Random

If you want a slow and relaxing mall walk go here. Lots of seniors citizens hence the calmness of the mall. There's some good selection of stores and it will be much better if there's more food vendors

  • Sean McCaskill

The mall is pretty clean. I find the mall is geared for the elderly, especially woman's fashion, looks like a large Canadian tire will be opening up soon, so I'll have to go back and check it out!

  • Nicolas P.

Excellent place for everyday shopping, abundant parking, one-level shopping floor, great food court. However, the receptionist on the phone is rather rude than courteous, smearing its reputation.

  • Kimm

This place is my home away from home I first experienced this mall when I was a preteen at the age of 12. Myself & my friends would hang out with the other kids from the area, & to be honest it

  • Brian Ross

So many stores have come and gone from the mall.. the food court isn't to bad for the few places that you can order from.. but I do like going to manchu wok for the pepper steak they have there

  • User 7

It’s nice mall but unfortunately there are many months they are without wifi but they don’t care I meant come on mall without wifi seriously the management most care about their customers ☹️

  • Michelle Hill

It's an okay mall, they have some interesting stores that seem to have some decent sales. I mostly like it for dollarama, and the new Canadian Tire addition if you happen to be in the area.

  • Peter Sheriff

Not much here and those that are seem to be hanging on by a thread. Maybe one exception is the women's clothing store called Fantaisie (I think). My wife always finds a good deal there.

  • Alek “Alekzander D”

Love coming to this mall. Although a lot of stores have sadly closed down, they have quite a few unique stores that I enjoy going in. Also the ManchuWok at this mall is the best!

  • Paul Sullivan

So many empty stores, no men’s wear. Canadian Tire store is a disaster to enter from the mall and the maze they have setup to get to the cash just adds to customer annoyance.

  • Allen C

I found a wallet on the massage chair near Dollarama and informed Security. The Security has taken it under custody. If anyone has lost wallet, please contact the Security.

  • Norman Quenneville

The persons managing this landmark shopping/professional center do so with great attention to detail mixed in with a hint of obsession. If I could I'd rate it a 7 on 5

  • Adrienne Taylor

Always have an awesome experience at Carlingwood. It's great to go to a mall that has accessible parking. Lots of selection at this mall as well. Highly recommend.

  • sara gauthier

I recently visited Carlingwood Shopping Centre. I was very impressed how this little mall was clean and there was alot of place to sit and enjoy my lunch.

  • Willie Romero

One of the cutest malls in Ottawa, loads of stores and services. Why only photos of the outside? So you can come and enjoy the inside spoiler free

  • brenda Wilson,lynch

Went to get my chain fixed at one of the jewellery stores. Staff are very polite and always excellent service. The stores name is Griffiths.

  • Jacqueline Couture

Store's website said they were opened until 9. Drove out of my way only to find out they close at 8. It's a website. Can easily be updated.

  • John Brooks

We need more indoor malls. They need to stop letting the good food places (like New York Fries) leave. The wifi hasn't worked for months.

  • Free Spirit

Love the choices of stores for women, low prices too. Where it's laking, it's a place where kids can keep busy. The rides, you need cash.

  • Samantha Radmore

Used to be good but so many stores have closed now that it's not so good anymore. Still clutch for having a grocery store and CT though.

  • Lauren Howe

There isn't a whole lot to say about this place, stores come and go a lot, and it feels like they leave their heat on even in the summer

  • Laurie Dewar

Most items 70% off at Ardene. Got new slippers under five dollars. Small mall but i just love it here. New activities coming up.

  • Eric Shellswell

The new Canadian Tire is impressive. They are clearly trying to do way more with a single store, and in my opinion nailed it.

  • Neil Lauzon

Elderly woman came up to my young family and said they go to the mall to relax, not to hear children.. And called security.

  • Matthew Fuller

The Canadian Tire seems to be giving this mall a huge boost, more people shopping in there then I think I've ever seen.

  • Pouch Silk
