I tend to be very forgiving with companies when they have a few bad reviews about customer service. With other reviews for this location, a number of customers have complained about the woman who tends to the customer service window. I went into the vestibule and immediately saw signs for policies on the use of vulgar and profane language. I sort of laughed at the idea of someone needing to curse at a postal worker. Then, SHE came to the window. Unbeknownst to me, this location does not provide retail services; no shipping, stamps, packaging, etc. I placed my item on the counter and told her that I need to mail this package. Her response? "No." Literally what she said. There was no, "Sorry, we don't take packages at this location," or anything of that sort. I asked why not and she said that they aren't a retail store. She then said, "We don't even sell stamps. It even said it on the front door." in an incredibly sarcastic tone. Let me tell you, their front door is absolutely plastered with signs: COVID warnings, social distancing, hours of operation, etc. Good luck finding a sign that says they aren't a retail location. I told her that all she had to say was that they don't accept packages at this location and that there was no need to be rude or sarcastic. She just rolled her eyes and turned away. Needless to say, I certainly understand now why they have signs up about vulgarity at this location. Her description is -Female -White -Approximately 45-50 years old -5'3" - 5'4" -170-180 lbs -Very short brown hair with some grey If a Canada Post employee with stripes sees this review and takes their business seriously, move her to the back and keep her there. She isn't good for the brand, and she is a horrible agent.

I was there May 29 exactly at 10:56am to reload my Canada Post Visa card. On the desk was a sign "Gone for lunch 11:00am to 11:30am" and no attendant. I asked one of the store associates where the attendant was since it was not 11:00am yet to warrant her taking the lunch break? The store associate paged her 2 times and by the time she returned the page it was officially 11:00am their lunch break. The associate came back to inform me the attendant was on lunch and will be back at 11:30am. I responded back the attendant was taking advantage of their position to take a early lunch and added time my already buzy schedule for I had to work that night and needed to go home to take a rest. I ended up finishing what I had to do downtown and came back again around 11:45am to reload my card. The short shoulder length silver gray lady named Betty was there working at the counter. I mentioned to her that I was there at 10:56am earlier that had her paged and she informed me she was on her lunch break and she was entitled to have her lunch. Now I don't disregard that she is not entitled to have a lunch break but b honest to the employer that employs you to do a honest days work for the honest pay. Betty took a early lunch on company and added to my time by taking that early break! I found her very rude that she thinks its not her fault about taking her lunch breaks. Clearly customer service by Betty is not one of her good traits in providing a public customer service with a attitude she has and should be reassigned to the stock room. Till now I never had any bad service from Canada Post till I went to the downtown location and met Betty.

The pure ignorance of these people who work for us and are holding OUR mail is absolutely absurd at this location!! Very demeaning, Very Rude and will Yell at the Customers to be able to speak over them. The fact that this MAIL CENTRE doesn't take Mail from its own community is outright ridiculous as there is not 1 Dropbox for mail as it's a rough neighborhood. I have now lived here for 7 months and they will NOT and absolutely refuse to bring me my mail because my mailbox is on the side of my house not the front.. .. I live in the basement unit and it's right outside my door . Pure laziness. I haven't received my mail in months because of that and the last time I went to the office to pick ut up was an absolute gong show of utter disappointment and disrespect from its employees who yelled at me for not carrying my lease around with me... :/ And then about 2.5 hours later I got my mail. Yes they knew who I was as I provided other documentation. The Woman who works the window DOES NOT know how to work with the public and should be removed from that post. My goodness was she mad when she actually had to stand up and go get the supervisor.

Awful service, lady working older 50's gray hair short (similar description left by another reviewer) and zero customer service skills. Our mail had been diverted there as they are doing construction on our apt building we both work shift work and they are only open 930 to 230 so took 2 weeks before I made it there. And then she wouldn't let me have my partners mail even though we live in same apt same building etc. And she was soo rude about it. I asked to speak to her manager as our mail was still being diverted for another 2 weeks. This young girl in her 20's said she was the covering supervisor but didn't know the area so didn't know what she could do. Umm your the supervisor. I left in disgust. Obviously customer service is not even required to work there. :(

The staff at the depot are super nice and very helpful (they deserve 5 stars). However, the so-called "manager" Chantal is absolutely USELESS! She delivers notices stating we need to relocate our mailbox and when we try to contact her (multiple calls and voicemails) to help resolve this issue, she doesn't even attempt to contact us back. She delivers a notice to the depot (which is supposed to go to our address) saying we have a package at another Canada Post, but doesn't inform us of that. Recently, they don't deliver to our address because it's unsafe in the winter, but we are still receiving other mail, so how are we supposed to know that it's at the depot? Telepathy? Should we send a pigeon? Keep up the "great" work.

Haven't had a problem with canada post in the past but recently I had an undelivered package marked as "delivered" on the tracking page. When they called back after I reported it I was told it says it was delivered... yeah... that's why I'm complaining. It wasn't delivered like it says it was. That's about all they did to resolve their issue, but unlike canada post, the sending party was kind enough to correct canada posts failed attempt at doing their job and offered to reship the item. Get it together guys. Overall terrible experience.

Due to them telling me to get out of there building and i said no u cant throw me out but he was the rudest person i dealt with, another older man is as ryde as ever also, so mean ifu dont put ur mask on an if u dont have one go get one since there not offered there n i said if ur gona push it then u should hav some to give to us clients.i would not go there if mail was delivered to us in the ten years i lived in this city i never had mail delivery yet..so i dont like when ppl in govt.push there authoritarian state on me...

  • jayden trang

I was called and they told me I had to pick up a package and my mail so I paid 12$ for an Uber to pick it up went there and they told me there’s nothing here for you and the lady assuring me was giving a lot of attitude I didn’t appreciate she also said they don’t call people but the phone number that called me was identical to this address. And I was talking to a person not a automated voice mail so at the end of the day I wasted my time 24$ and no package and bad customer service.

During Covid I understood that postal delivery would be slowed down greatly. However, 2 'Express Envelopes' that I sent to the U.S. and paid extra money for, took about 7 to 10 days to be processed at the Richmond Facility in B.C.. Once it was sent to the U.S,. it took only 2 days to be cleared by U.S. Customs and delivered to the recipient in the eastern U.S. I was extremely disappointed that Canada's postal clearance at this facility should be so slow on an Express Package.

Great service...not pleased with how we Had to go-to a different Post office and it had to be post office inside a shoppers drug Mart just to get a code .... Like why give us the run round when it could be done there not at different Post office we just NEEDED A CODE.... WHY DID WE HAVE TO RUN AROUND THE CITY TO GET A CODE U COULDN'T JUST TELL US THE CODE..... IDK WASN'T PLEASED WITH THE CANADA POST OFFICE SERVICES TODAY... BUT THAT'S LIFE... HAVE A GOOD DAY!!!

The supervisor that is taking over for Brian for the Edmonton Central Depot is unprofessional. She doesn’t like returning calls or doing any work period. The mailboxes in my apartment building have been broken for almost 2 weeks but the mailman keeps delivering mail to broken mailboxes.Brian does a great job though when he is working as supervisor. Update Brian is back he resolved the issue. He is professional and gets things done.

Absolutely ridiculous! i had a package sent to the office i work at and the receptionist "refused" the package because i was not present in the office at time of delivery. I am the legal recipient so i dont know why they would allow someone else to refuse. They sent it back to sender- even though i made it clear to them i will go in and pick it up

I really loved this location because it's one block from where I live. Have mailed items out of this location for the past year. I went there last week and was told they are no longer accepting mail? This seems ridiculous given that they are the main depot and one of the only ones in this area. Can this policy be revisited?

  • Omid Zahedi Niaki

Don’t often write reviews because it’s not worth my time, but the service here is a disgrace. Rude employees. Also, what happened to wearing masks? We have to wear a mask and respect social distancing but they can waltz around in the warehouse and at the front desk without a mask and serve customers? Embarrassing.

  • Giovanna Tripoli

Awful service. Staff lies and refuses to take any accountability for their mistakes. Mr. Roy obviosly has some control issues. He does everything not to help you. You would expect to be treated with respect there but no.. Never again

  • Karan Nagra

Had my PC in limbo here for over a month. After they finally found it the mail monkeys marked it as return to sender, sending it all the way back to Quebec where I originally shipped it from.

  • Kanto 98st.

This is one of the rudest places I’ve ever dealt with. People are incompetent, most of the time staff is doing personal things like eating and telling eachother stories.

  • Kate Chipata

What are the hours of this location? Google says 9:30 - 2pm but the answering machine says 8am to 6pm from Monday to Friday? Which is it?

  • martin kelly

Item was "lost", then had to call a dozen times until they "found it". When package was sent one of the items in the package was stolen.

  • Peyton D

I have been home for the last 2 days yet they will not deliver my package because “nobody is home” biggest joke of my life
