The usual Bunnings. Have everything in the store EXCEPT the one item you need even when it shows it’s in stock on their website. Staff usually mope around as though they hate life. More often than not they will need to be shown a screen-shotted picture so they know what you are asking for, even when told the exact name of an item. Isles being sorted and restocked during business hours and the section you need is taped off. I’ve even considered calling the store, while i’m in the store instead of walking in circles trying to find a staff member if an item isn’t on the shelves when it says stock is available. They really give the impression that their ‘experienced’ staff are retired tradies that couldn’t care less. Why what’s the point of their self serve checkouts when they are NEVER open…. and usually only one counter is tended to, maybe 2 on weekends. Only come here if you really need to, Or go to the smaller family owned hardware/ trade stores.

We went in store on a Thursday night to buy a kitchen cabinet. We asked where it was and went to the isle. We couldn't find the product and the lady showed us, we had to ask for help 2 more times and she kept walking away and wouldn't help. We gave up and ordered it for delivery online. When the driver arrived he was incredibly rude and told me to carry the 3 50kg+ boxes up the stairs to our apartment myself. When i called the store they said I had to pay an additional $100 for delivery on top of the $40 I had already paid because "door to door" delivery was only to our apartment complex and not to our apartment. We rebooked delivery for a different day, only to call on the day and find that it was never rebooked.

I was searching for a fan that my Dad had recently purchased and was assisted by a wonderful gentleman named Terry. He found the cheapest fan, which was of the highest quality and happened to be reduced as it was a deleted item. Terry then proceeded to carefully check that every part was included in the box. He was kind and very caring. I could see he was working extremely hard however he never hesitated to assist us and ensure we got the best possible product for value. Terry is an absolute credit to the store. In the past I would regularly visit the other, larger store at North Penrith, but after today I'll be a loyal Penrith Bunnings customer

Young bloke named Nathan very helpful. I actually hate Bunnings and you can't even get a sausage at the moment, great store and all I'm just a complete hack when it comes to doing anything involving skill, patience and coordination. Rather than striding confidently into my local Bunnings with excitement, aplomb and gumption I am filled with crippling dread and anxiety. I came home feeling ready to build something but in reality failed miserably at my project because even though I had the right materials turns out I can't properly identify and use tools very well or in some cases at all.

Only have 3 trailer bays which they park their hire cars in when there is other car spaces they can take. Every other double car space is taken so we couldn’t park our trailer anywhere. Then when we tell them that we’ve been driving around looking for somewhere to park they say to park inside, that’s fine we’ll go park inside, except there’s no spaces in there was all the cars without trailers park one car space apart too. Didn’t even try to move their hire utes out of the only spaces people can put their trailers. Very unhappy.

Staff are always around buthe give you the chance to try to find what you're looking for on your own. Which to me, is great. When you're unable to find what youre looking for, they are so polite and gracious. Often going above and beyond to find exactly the right tool (etc. .) To suit your requirements more precisely. There's often great bargains,;and if they don't stock what you require, they're happy to refer you on to another supplier. Banning is one of my favourite places to visit!

We come here regularly. The staff are lovely (though honestly, the staff at all Bunnings are lovely, aren't they?) The playground is great, we come here with older kids, and there are some things that even younger kids can access. I find some of the other playgrounds are specifically for older kids, not this one, this one is much better for all ages. I love the cafe, the kids think it is such a treat, and honestly it is so cheap. The coffee is great, my kids love the $1.50 party pies.

  • Rob C

The coffee here is surprisingly good... Unexpected bonus for those needing to take 5 after a busy shopping experience. For those in the know, the coffee is another reason to visit Bunnings! I found a new adhesive that is fast dry and wash up with water. The old favourite Maxi Nails requires a week to cure and Mineral Turpentine for cleanup. Items require clamping for the best results for a couple of days or preferably more. After a week this adhesive is rock solid... Literally!

  • Jessica Davys

I love bunnings. I love that this bunnings has the kids trolleys. Saved me the other day fighting with my 2yo wanting to push his sister in the pram and instead the lovely lady at the entrance desk got him one. That cheered him right up. Everyone including other customers are always so nice especially to the kids wandering around with me. I love the service I always get. Cannot fault it. Bunnings is just truly amazing, it's my hardware goto!

  • Joe Fernandez

Always a pleasure to shop here for the home. A special thank you to Karen and the Complex Manager for bringing an item from another store that was on promotional sale only as it was out of stock at most of Bunnings stores. She went out of her way keeping communication open and keeping you up to date until the item was in store. This is really a rare occurrence in most stores in Australia, the customer service are top notch. Thanks again!

  • Terry Stevens

A busy place, very slow with pick up orders to the car, often ring three or four times before they answer the phone, will often say they're short of staff and would I come in and pick up, I tell them I have a bad hip as I have and they then cheerily bring the item to my car. Mostly a young women with short blonde hair in attendance of the pick up counter using her personal phone causing some of the delay in getting service.

  • Graham Marshall

Poor experience today. I opted for click and collect. Confusing placement of signs made it difficult to know where to park. When I asked at the door with my paperwork I was told Bunnings is now open for in-store purchases. I asked if thar information was in my paperwork. I was told I should know because it had "been on the news" I opted for collect to minimise my exposure to others and then had to go into the store anyway.

  • derek lee

i am very said that i am writing very bad review. other staff was great except one staff at paint shop. i was in the queue cos of many people. at the paint shop, she was nice to all others with "Hi" "HELLO" "HOW ARE YOU" when i get served, her first saying was... "WERE YOU IN THE QUEUE???" never say hello , hi, no greeting. bad expression. this kind of rasism must be out in 21st century.. i am sick and tired of it.

  • Meltdown By Kyle

This is a good Bunnings store with pretty much everything you could think of, the only feedback I would have is there was a lack of customer service representatives on the floor and for what I needed I ended up having to ask three different staff members where it was. For such a huge store and not everyone being a handyman I’d expect to not have to hunt down staff to be able to find what I needed.

  • Peace Lilly

Don't bother with home delivery unless you are willing to sacrifice an entire day as you can't even find out if it's morning or afternoon. Have rang several times to only be told my delivery is STILL in store, hasn't been picked up and they have no idea when it will be. Not somewhere you would go for product assistance, waits over 20 minutes. Just refunded the product. Would recommend Mitre.

  • Claudia Morgan Vlogs

Is Bunnings owned by Aldi? at the counter I have to lift the purchases to the cashier then put each down then I get the docket thrown at me. I have to then grab the purchase no box or bag or anything offered. Then carry it all out hands full. Drop it on the concrete carpark, unlock my car. Throw it all in. What a hassle! Where is the customer servhce these days??!!!

  • R D

Staff are reluctant to go out of their way to greet, let alone help you. I asked where I can find a particular product, they pointed with a grunt to an isle number. No one is busy doing anything productive. No one has any urgency, 1 person on a register is pathetic. Every single time I visit the store. Classic corporate giant, no care for quality service.

  • Matthew Costello

Can’t praise this place enough. Big shout out to Jason who went well out of his way to help me with an odd project for an extended period of time. I was truly touched by the kindness he showed in helping me get to the bottom of what I needed to do.. I have found this type of service to be really rare these days so well done and thanks again!!

  • Mark Watson

Searching for an item for a friend, we came up trumps at the ever reliable Bunnings Warehouse. At this particular store, the couple of staff members approached for assistance were excellent. They knew exactly what and where to go to, in answer to relative questions. It was literally an in and out trip with minimal effort and fussing about.

  • Chris Scanlan

4.5 stars. Review 3: Thanks to Adam for great advice and Deirdre for good direction. Five stars again! Review 2: Again an excellent visit. 10 out of ten again. Thanks Terry for your help with the taps in row 58! Review 1: VERY helpful staff! Deb in row 8, Jacqueline at the entrance and Carolyn in paint were great!! 10 out of 10!

  • zena elchaar-fuller

The best place to shop...staff are helpful and friendly...except a woman at front counter called Robin...I shop here nearly evryweek but today I wanted to cry and walk out...she was absolutely condescending and barked at me for my licence..no please thank you just a grumpy biatch....horrible person should not be working here....

  • Kristian Iskov

I've got to admit, I really enjoy the experience of shopping at Bunnings. The massive range and helpful staff are much appreciated. In particular, a big thank you/shout out to Kelly in the Tool Shop at the Penrith Home Maker Centre Bunnings, for helping me get through my Christmas Shopping list. Cheers Kelly & Bunnings!

  • Jodie Richardson

Toilets were difficult to find. At other Bunnings venues they are usually located near cafe and playground. At this site they are hidden at the back, far end of the store near the trade section. This was not a good experience when shopping with a child. Plus, when we found them the toilets were not in great state

  • Thomas

The worst service I have seen. Over 40 mins to receive service at the cut shop. Got staff paged multiple time, nothing. It is shocking that a company as big as bunnings cares so little for customer service. They have become so big they don't care about the individual, just their bottom line. Very disappointing.

  • Peter Tazzyman

I don't know what it is about every Bunnings that I go into, but it takes me hours just to find the simplest things. Honestly, you have to look in EVERY aisle just to find a box of screws. Such a pain. You'd think I would have figured out where everything is seeing as I go in there just about every other week

  • Samantha Bulpitt

It is the same as every other store but going early in the morning sure is better than the afternoon although having to get my keys cut was very time consuming as the young lady was on her own and had to serve as well so what should have taken 5 minutes took half an hour which made me late for my appointment

  • Joe Kanga

Thank you Cooper for your wonderful service, patience and more importantly staying back to assist me while not taking your lunch break. You're a good 19yr old kind mate. Keep up your good work. I hope Bunnings rewards you and similar hardworking kids like you. God knows we need so many more like you...

  • Graceshanti Foulds

Usually give HIGH rating and honestly being told 3 different locations for a product from 3 various on-the-floor Team Members was overwhelming when it's HOT and walking from gardening to the other end then finally the Information Desk for accurate assistance then back to other end was a bit much! :/-

  • Kristi Gail

Love bunnings. Security guard at door tried to stop me "checking in" when it was compulsory to do so. Told him to move his large body away from the scan code so I could scan. Don't need that conversation with him. Shouldn't be in that line of work if he is going to stop people scanning in.

  • Adam McGregor

Spoke to a young lady named Chloe in the hardware section. Never before have I met such a knowledgeable and polite young woman. She is a true ambassador for Bunnings..... I am now the owner of a quality ladder as well as some batteries that she instructed me on how to install. Thank you...

  • Kathleen Konarew

Wow! Thank you Amelia. What a lovely girl who helped me to the car with my 50L potting mix and lifted into the car. Noticed as she walked back to the store, she collected all the trolleys including mine. Initiative, friendliness and so helpful. Employee of the decade. Merry Xmas, Amelia.

  • Thomas Lahl

Huge Bunnings with lots of products on display, variety better than any smaller hardware store. Competent stuff gets you to navigate around easy and helps you to plan your projects with confidence. New product presentations, many offers and often the best price for a product in town.

  • Brodie

always out of stock in a range of items especially in the garden area. Limited store hours now which is annoying. Some staff members are helpful and some don't have a clue about anything, and can give you poor advice/trap you into buying something that won't help the task at hand.

  • Simon Chin

Excellent service, the nursery was neat & tidy the greenlife was of good quality & healthy, above all I was able to purchase everything I was looking for from plants, potting mix, stakes & fertilizer. Bunnings is a one stop shop. Keep up the good work! One Happy Shopper Simon

  • Mitchell O'Connor

Always such a great time with this particular store! They always know where everything is and always offering to help us out. They have also come with with such great solutions to our projects and its so refreshing to recieve help and solutions! Great job guys!!

  • c745488

Just a short distance from the M4 Mulgoa Road exit, this Bunnings is well situated inside a complex with plenty of parking. The customer service is always on point. I regularly go to Bunnings and the staff are always happy to help. Returns are always made easy.

  • Kathryn Hammond

For supposed Covid safe was extremely disappointed - couples and families all through the store breaching public health orders that state one person from a household can shop.trollies not wiped down between customers. Staff helpful and stock levels good.

  • David

Very friendly service and knowledgeable staff. You just gotta love Bunnings, don’t you? :) Easy to park there as well, and some other good shops around to visit which makes this place really worthwhile visiting. Easy to access through M4 with no hassle.

  • Suzanne Cooper

Many thanks to Mitchell for his excellent customer service this morning on the phone and later at the checkout. Also huge thanks to Mark for his help instructing me on the function of threading my whipper snipper. A thorough gentleman of days long gone.

  • 4TheMotorist

5 stars goes to the Kitchen department in Bunnings Penrith. Recently helped me design my new kitchen, was awesome to see it happen before my very eyes. And the staff member, did a wonderful job, was very very helpful. Can recommend Bunnings Penrith.

  • Mark Bandayrel

I would like to thank Lesley for going out of her way to help me find the Honda whipper snipper I was after in other stores. She is a true asset to the establishment and should be recognised for her outstanding customer service.

  • KamP

I went to exchange a product that was not in stock in another store. Katherine at the special orders counter quickly sorted out everything and even walked with me to help me load the bulky item in my car. Well done and thanks.

  • Ian Fuller

Always a pleasure to visit here. The staff are super friendly and very efficient. My biggest complaint is that you can never just shop for what your came in for. You always end up with an armful of must have bargains.

  • Apatari

Rang special orders and on hold for ages and no one picked up. Rang back and left number with reception to call me back. No one did. Went and purchased elsewhere. Bunnings customer service in this case was rubbish.

  • Anna Tadman

Amazing layout, you can enter in from either the garden section or the main entry. The staff are lovely to deal with, and gave great instructions to find something. If I couldn't find they recommended other places

  • Kelly Davis

The staff here are apauling. They don't help customers, they are lazy, don't know their products, they can't find their products, and they need some customer service training. If you need hardware don't go here.

  • Ahmed Mohamed

At the home centre Penrith branch, the lady at the counter asked me if I was on the queue or not! Seriously I said, why wouldn’t I ! These staff need to be educated how to treat people , what a disappointment!

  • Susan Pisani

Great range of supply's but not much staff to help especially in the paint department only one person .I could not wait no longer had for paint and had to go to bristle paints and was in and out in no time.

  • Tim Robson

Purchased the new Ryobi mower, whipper snipper and blower. Dylan in the powered garden tools section directed us in which tools were the better buys. Highly recommend Dylan for any garden tool tips …

  • Wayne Pavy

Now that Bunnings is all but free of competition the quality of their products is on the decline whilst the prices seen to rise every few weeks. I try to avoid it but it's getting more difficult to do so.

  • chris courtney

It's bunnings, can you ever go wrong when you go here. The only thing I can suggest is a self exclusion from spending once you hit a limit like you can do if your a problem gambler.

  • Frank Gaha

Always use Bunnings for my tools hardware and gardening needs. Have done so since they became/took over BBC hardware. Staff are friendly knowledgeable and always go the extra mile

Bunnings is where you can buy a sausage sandwich on most weekends but, you’re not able to buy a piece of PPE that’s actually a requirement on most construction sites today.
