On the evening of Wednesday, 16 November 2022, I visited Kirrawee Bunnings looking for door handles for my new back door. I walked up to Russell who managed to cease immediately what he was doing in a different section and accompany me to not only track down the exact door handle I needed but also find a tape measure to ensure it matched the measurements left for me on a note by the door installers. I asked Russell for his name as the nearly 10 years I’ve lived here and completed countless works on my home (requiring many visits to you guys) he stood out for his customer service, instant dedicated attention and seeming devotion to ensuring I got the exact door handle I needed. If there is a “going the extra mile for the customer” program at Bunnings, Russell should feature as it’s prototype. I will certainly be back for a special order for my carport and hope I can be assisted as pleasantly and effortlessly again. With thanks

Bought a vacuum cleaner. It worked but was weak, wouldn't even pick up small leaves. I didn't have the receipt so I rang the service desk before I turned up to see if it was at all possible to swap for another brand. The service desk said that would be fine as long as I had the same credit card to track the transaction. When I went in, Genevieve at the service desk said she won't help because it works. I told her it works but it's too weak. That I don't want a refund, just another brand and that I rang earlier to confirm. She just shook her head. I pointed out that retailers like Kmart are always accommodating in these situations. She didn't care said "Oh well go to Kmart then".

8 staff behind the trade counter, 2 of them serving and there’s a queue. (See photo) Congratulations Bunnings Kirrawee. Broke the world record for customer service. Again. Nearly got run over by a scissor lift in plumbing. When you ask some staff (not all) they just stare aimlessly looking. And I say, “Dude. That’s what I was doing - and I don’t work here.” Defy you not to walk past two staff talking about when they are going on their break. However, they are the go-to hardwarehouse. Because they ate all the others. But beware complacency, Lord Bunnings. Like Emperor Palpatine, Masters may yet rise to become more powerful than anyone thought possible.

Entered the store, stopped and waited whilst two staff were chatting away and ignoring me. First annoyance. Given the wrong information about the product I was looking for. Finally found a staff member who was lovely and gave me the correct isle. Then I went to the counter to have a key cut. Again staff chatting away and ignoring me. Finally had my key cut. Final annoyance, the key cut is not even close to being right. Now I have to go back. Don't offer key cutting if you don't know how to do it. My whole experience today left me feeling frustrated. Not my usual experience. Staff are usually great. Get your act together Bunnings Kirrawee.

Had an awful experience at this store. Waiting to for my order to be processed by a capable and well-mannered young female assistant, I asked her male colleague what some items, sitting on the counter, were used for.  I was simply being inquisitive.  But the guy's response was nothing but contemptuous. My Bunnings tally that afternoon was well over $200.  One suggestion: they need to put their older male employees through training in recognising their bias when deadling with older female customers, or maybe simply being respectful to every customer, irrespective of whether they personally like them or not.

Not one to leave bad reviews however really disappointed with a click and collect order. Was given lies and excuses as to why my product wasn’t in store and ready for collection the day after ordering. Then was told I had to be charged an extra $10 for the same product split into 2 x 10kg packs because they didn’t have the original 20kg pack that I ordered in store! There was no apology for messing me around on my Fathers Day morning and the attitude I received from the check out lady was not necessary! Make sure you stick up for yourself if things like this happen otherwise you’ll be taken advantage of!

I just called by phone to ask if they had liquid chlorine in stock, because the last few times I’ve gone it’s not in stock, so basically wasted time going there. Anyway I rang at 6 pm and they close at 7pm, was on hold for 10 minutes and then someone answered but didn’t have a clue, he said I’ll put you through to that department. At 6:31 I’m still waiting ……………………………………… …………………..6:35pm …….waiting……………………….. 6:36 answered no we don’t. Optus is bad but Bunnings can shake hands with them. Try waiting 35 minutes on the phone when it should’ve been sorted at the 10 minutes mark.

  • Kiana Johnston-Hedley

the worst customer service. had me waiting for help for upwards of 25 minutes. i asked 4 different people for help and they would continually redirect me to ‘stand outside the timber area’ or ‘stand at the end of the isle, for urgency matters’ with no help at all ever coming. asked the 2 guys having a conversation for help at the checkout desk and they both looked and said “look in all the other isles. maybe someone’s down there” ??? are you serious eventually found Liz who found Peter and they were extremely helpful. absolutely ridiculous.

A large single level ground floor Bunnings store with plenty of open air parking. If you would prefer undercover parking go to the Caringbah store instead. As is usual with all Bunnings stores it has a great range of products & the staff are always knowledgeable & helpfull. It also has a good garden section where you can find a great range of plants at prices much cheaper than tthe specialist nurseries. The Phalaenopsis (Moth) Orchids are some of my favourites & the plants are always strong & healthy & the blooms last for around 3 months.

Kirrawee Bunnings I was in the toilet/plumbing section and asked a worker for help, and I got a quick, unhelpful response as he quickly walked off This actually ended up costing me money because I had to buy the item essentially without any help, took it home, opened it, couldn't use it, and now I am not able to return it. Went back second time to try and get help from another worker, and they sort of helped but then when I was explaining my situation to him, he went on his phone and started checking his messages and the just walked off.

  • RHONDA COOTE

Love Bunnings but purchased a Whirlybird from them and was told they could arrange installation, but I had to pay there and then for install. I said NO, I wanted to know who they recommended and the name of the Company. Thank goodness I did research and the Company they were going to use, has the worst Reviews I have ever read. Very dodgy. So took back the Whirlybird for refund and advised the Staff I wouldn't be going ahead with the install with the Company they use. Do your homework when it comes to things like this.

  • Liz Gaunt

I always get what I need at Bunnings and enjoy exceptional service … but it would be really great if they relocated their soils, mulches and other heavy bagged products to the timber supplies entrance or around the back in the ‘no entry’ area. Then with a single person armed with a card swipe to take payment, click and collect would possible. It would also very much help people getting these products to their vehicles in those outta control trolleys without fear of crashing into other vehicles!

  • Big Al

This is the first time I have been here. It's very large and everything you could want is there. It's laid out very well and easy to find. If you can't find what you're looking for then you just need to ask one of the staff. The only problem is that you end up buying way more than you intended to! It's so easy to go in with the intention of buying a particular item and walk out with a dozen items. Staff are friendly and only too happy to help. I will definately be coming back.

  • Binday Kang

Ths is the best Bunnings store compared to my local store who has no proper customer service and Campbelltown store is not at all helpful . I rang Kirrawee and spoke to the manager Natasha and she was so helpful and lovely to deal with her. She checked the product I needed and made sure I received it. Wish I lived closer to ths store and would shop here every time . Thanks Natasha and Dani for organising my vacum cleaner which I needed so desperately.

  • Michelle kim

Vincent, exceptional customer service. Though he’s young he has extensive knowledge and understanding of his products and it’s functionality. He works efficiently and did not waste my time at all. He had assisted me picking up some items, guided me directly to them offering his input which was extremely helpful. But to top it of he offered to take it all to my car which is clearly going above and beyond. I must say well done to him.

  • Jonathan Bout

I needed to buy 8G 25mm screws in a hurry to fix a brake light on the car. In a hurry because the store was due to close within five minutes! And I only got four minutes to save the world . Tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock. ⌚️. Fortunately I quickly found the screws I was looking for and if I didn't, screw that! When something goes screwy and before you knew he was closing store on everyone.

  • Katrina Westropp

Staff were very rude due to being in a lockdown they thought it was part of their job to comment on what was essential or not to customers. One guy i wish i got his name had no idea where a item was when i asked and so i went to ask a lady she rolled her eyes and held a rude voice when replying to me. I was really disappointed and just left the store. Disgusted.. i will never shop at this bunnings again

  • Kat May Jeffrey

Love this massive store with such a huge selection. The staff here are super friendly. They had the exact storage unit I was after at a really good price and such good quality. They have an awesome plants and nursery, a kids playground, tradies section. Bunnings is always fun and I love going here after being in lockdowns for so long this was such a treat! Highly reccommend

  • Erin Rowe

I dislike Bunnings at the best of times but this one, I would avoid. There are some staff here who are just plain mean and should consider a career outside of the customer service realm. They literally don’t want to help you unless they think you are worthy of their attention and then talk down to you... this is a big avoid from me. Still terrible!

  • Aaren

A great single story Bunnings with everything one needs. The staff are friendly as with most Bunnings stores and stock with quite good compared with other stores. Large parking lot put the front. We went on a week night which meant the story was practically empty but I assume it would be packed on weekends just like all other Bunnings around.

  • Graham Brooker

Home from home for DIY, I spend half my salary there. A bit disappointed when asked one of the staff at the paint counter how much paint I would need to complete 65sqm. He suggested 10 litres. I used three. I guess I should have read the blurb on the can and done my own calculations. I now need to paint five other rooms the same colour. :-(

  • Kirsten P

Went into Bunnings this morning as we are renovating our kitchen. The lady did not seem to want to help us from the get go even though she was sitting on a chair at the desk. It came across as almost a burden to her that she was being asked questions and the look on her face said it all. Poor customer service skills by this employee.

  • czale thapa

I was so confused today to get the size for my carpet. The lady helped me her name was June. Oh my god she was so helpful and help me to get the perfect size of carpet for my house. She was very lovely person and very friendly i hope all the staff should learn something from her.. Best customer service i ever had in bunnings.

  • Emma E

Who doesn't love bunnings!? Seriously though, some of the staff here must really hate their job because they're unfriendly and unhelpful. Floor staff and garden centre staff are usually really good, people on registers though.... perhaps consider a career change if customers annoy you as much as it appears...

  • Brett Williams

Ever need ANYTHING DIY, go to Bunnings Kirrawee. Huge store, lots of variety of products and services. Friendly staff that ALWAYS seem to know where the things are I'm looking for and... A coffee shop! Sometimes I need that coffee to get through the Bunnings shopping experience and survive... Cheers...

  • Oy Vey

Service Level from staff to management absolutely atrocious. Unethical, unfriendly and no desire to listen the customer or resolve an issue. Staff member unknown to me insulted me on one occasion and also pat me on the back. I don't appreciate random people touching me in any way without my consent.

  • Suzanne McMurran-Apps

Always my favourite Bunnings, massive store with great selection and very pleasant, professional staff. Michelle has always been awesome, but yesterday we discovered Gary who matched my paint perfectly even though he was quite busy. Even my young son was impressed by his caring, professional manner.

  • Jeff Savage

A large Bunnings outlets with a vast variety of building materials Garden Supplies do it yourself kids and tradesmans tools. This is quite a big story and always gets busy, and it has a good selection of products available for anything from odd jobs around the house to Complete Building work

  • M Richards

This Bunnings has some really great regular staff who are always friendly and helpful. Suad in the nuts and bolts isle always takes the time to first understand what you're doing to recommend the correct items. He's saved me a return journey on several occasions. Glad this is my local.

  • Irene kucyk Kucyk

Service is of highest quality and delivery is quick and always when they say. Website needs updating but I am very happy with service. Lady in tile department was so helpful, tiles I wanted are not on website but she found them for me. I would like to thank her but didn't get her name.

  • Matt Medland

This Bunnings is absolutely huge with everything you could ever need for home renovation and a huge tool section. Also a huge nursery for plants to suit most tastes. Thel lay out is really well sorted with huge Isles that make navigating with a trolley easy. Love this Bunnings store.

  • Jeff

Quite a large Bunnings store with the usual products available including timber power tools gardening area and all the usual products available in Bunnings however it was quite difficult to find someone for assistance at this store and that could do with a significant improvement

  • Chris Collins

One-stop shop, everything you could need is here. Does get fairly busy (compared to Taren Point) but its well staffed (except the Kaboodle kitchen section - only 2 people to handle that section, definitely not enough). Self service checkouts are usually roped off for some reason.

  • Ben Gray

Loved the friendly service, especially William who helped me load my trolley with heavy concrete blocks and was able to help me find other things I needed. Also the young guy at the tool shop this afternoon (Tuesday 17/11) was really helpful too! Love the service everyone

  • Michael Bolton

I just love Bunnings. A very large store with a huge range. Most of the Team Members said hi as they past me. The girl on front register definitely deserves employee of the month, she was very polite to everyone in line as they were served and service with a huge smile.

  • Slobodan Spirovski

A staff in your store was very bad to me.His name was Leon and I by a lot of staf in your store for my friends they leave in kirrawe so they are surprised as they never have that experience.I fill sorry for other people in the store as they been good all the time.

  • Ste Withington

Huge store with a garden centre section. I'm convinced it's as big as the one in Alexandria but apparently not, got to be close though. Plenty of parking available. Very friendly staff, with some good advice offered by any member of staff found all over the place.

  • Analy Ylaya

I bought some pavers today and did not expect it’s very heavy, Izayah from landscape department was very helpful and offered help from lifting the pavers from the shelves to the trolly and to my car. Thank you very much Izayah, wish you all the best …

  • Philopateer Ghaly (Philo)

I have been to this store numerous times and never have I seen the disrespect and blatant disregard to help and serve with passive aggressive commentary from numerous employees. I will not be returning to this store and I suggest others do the same.

  • John Hutchin

Lots of parking, lots of variety. Friendly caring staff especially in the garden section. If you have issues they will refund your money. No issues. Stacks of staff and I asked for directions and they were friendly and spot on saving extra searching

  • Duncan McArdle

It's a Bunnings, so obviously I love it. However the pedestrian access is borderline dangerous. I appreciate most people drive to Bunnings, but sometimes I walk there and you're basically forced to walk in traffic to get to the front door.

  • Filou87

My experience here was great. Tony is an absolute legend. He went above and beyond to help us out with a problem, gave great advice and was super friendly. Truely an all-around expert, not only in timber :) Customer service at it's best

  • Tom March

Thank you to Mike from the Paint Department who gave me valuable guidance on a home project. Due to the current times I could see he was extremely busy yet he was cool, calm and collected and provided exceptional customer Service.

  • Dorothy Bentley

Today I purchased a laundry sink and toilet suite and was served by Glenn - kitchen Expert. He was informative and so helpful. If you visit that area make sure you reach out to him for help.... Worth his weight in gold.

  • Christine Hallett

Love shopping at Bunnings. They have just about everything you could want at a grest ptice. The staff could not be more helpful. Plenty of parking, disability as well. Usually a sausage sizzle to enjoy on your way out.

  • Deborah Blore

Shocking customer service experience. Three staff members having a wonderful chat at the key cutting counter, only one of which was helping a customer. At a snails pace, in a long queue of customers waiting.

  • Leonardo Volpi Kesselring

My neighbourhood Bunnings. Not the biggest but you will find almost anything you need. One of my favourite gardening sections from any Bunnings with really great variety and stock. Staff is excellent too.

  • Johnno G

Wow. Bunnings is always fun but this one is huge. Could spend hours browsing. Never leave without buying more than I need. Like most Bunnings it is mostly self serve but you won't be disturbed

  • Paul Abl

Ash the Builders Coordinator was extremely helpful. We need more employees like Ash! 2 other employees in the lawnmower isle were very knowledgeable and friendly. Great Team in Kirrawee

  • Matthew Payne

Shocking customer service out the back, in the kitchen area today, it was like it was an inconvenience to ask about ordering their products and services for a small kitchen renovation.

  • Rachel Addison

Who doesn't love Bunnings? Never leave with just what I went in for. Currently on a lawn equipment, tools etc thing. Great fun. Plenty of parking, nice garden section. Helpful staff.

  • Will Price

A big place with lots of stock, but the always helpful staff make it great. Good sized plant nursery too. Go before 9am on any day particularly Saturdays to avoid the busiest times.

  • Helen Adams

Very poor service. I've purchased the plant which is died within first week and no refund or apologies. The staff just blamed me and treated as criminal. Absolutely disappointing.

  • Carole Andersson

All great! Everyone , meaning the staff are fabulous! A great store, it was wonderful to finally have the sausage sizzle back! It was beautiful, hi to the Men's shed Menai!

  • Gregor Dumbrell

  • Bush Walker

Wanted to buy a big bulk of simple M5 bolts. The guy said: no, we don't have M5 bulk, bulks begin from M6, you can buy mini-pack. Right, for $0.5 per tiny bolt.

  • Rosemary Griffin

Terrific amount of parking here. Great range of products. Staff are very helpful. Pricing is consistent with other bunnings stores. Very friendly atmosphere.

  • Gerald Hagenloh

Great flag store of bunnings. Plenty of parking. Kids entertainment on the weekends complimentary play area. Great when its raining and you need supplies.

  • ken robertson

Honestly Google, how can you ask how Bunnings was. It’s always the same - wonderful. (Well, apart from the slightly disinterested assistant in plumbing.)

  • Ian

Clean and well stocked every time I go in. Generally can find what I want easily and the staff are quite friendly. Gary in the tool shop is a real gem.

  • Melina K

Great shop with good stock levels. Some of the sales attendants have also been quite helpful, sometimes offering help without you needing to ask.

  • Ed Yan

Definitely one of the larger Bunnings around which means plenty of choice of everything. I particularly appreciated the extensive garden centre.

  • Greg Ray

Website said they have stock in store, turns out nil stock everywhere. Website tends not to show what is actually in stock, happens a lot.

  • Trish Koutrodimos

My mum and I got lots of help finding a car cover substitute from Bunnings team member Jenny. And she was super kind too! Thanks Jenny!

Really good place for your hardware needs. Just wear sunglasses as carpark can get very sunny and has no underground parking
