Had to go to the ground level to get some sand, was my first time doing something like this, needed to find out if I was supposed to drive into the complex or if the driveway there was only for their own vehicles/forklifts etc, and if someone could help me lift the sandbags into my car. I saw a female staff member doing something at one of the shelves and so went to stand by her to get her attention and she ignored me, so I said 'excucse me, I'm just looking for the sand'. She faced me reluctantly, gave a smug unimpressed look, and pointed to the other side of her shelf which I hadn't yet been able to see from where we were standing. 'Over there', she said, and went back to her work. 'I was wondering if someone could help me lift it into my car' I said (I am a small lady myself). She told me to bring in my car, and when I did she started lifting the bags for me by hand (I only asked for help thinking they'd have some trolley or something, I wouldn't have gotten her to do something I could do). Her attitude all through the experience was condescending and unimpressed as I made attempts to be polite - as I sensed her attitide and wondered if I did something wrong - and I tried to help her carry the bags but she just went on not these attempts to lift the bags together, telling me the bags I was trying to pick up were the leaking ones (actually she put a leaking one in my car). When paying I said 'thank you' and she said 'mm.' with a syrrupy false sweetness. When I walked all the way back accross the complex to my car, the exit gate right infront of me was still closed. I thought I had to reverse my car back through the complex to get around the other parked car, and go out through the way I came in. During that precarious manouvering to the other side, I accidentally reversed into a low pole. Only now she waved me down with an elated look on her face as though she had been watching for entertainment and laughing instead of lifting the gate or telling me how I was supposed to get out. "The gate is open now" she finally told me with a grin. I honestly do not understand why a basic interraction has to be made so unpleasent. I felt bullied. Please talk to this employee. It occured on Sat 24/3 at 1:21, so whichever young woman was working down there at the time. I am a young woman myself who came alone and really don't see what other reason she had to treat me like this. If I made her uncomfrotable in anyway it was unintentional and I made all possible attempts to show friendlienss afterward. Thank you.

Our pastshopping with bunnings was always a happy experience. But this store started to change in some areas. Last week my wife called up this store and asked questions about a toilet suite, they asked her to measure it and came to store someone will help her but after she brining measurements to store asking staff there, one man didn’t even want to look the measurements, saying he is not professional, you need to go to big bunnings. So we went to Rydalmere shop, team helped us to get it done very quickly and easily with our measurements. Today, I went there to buy some roof material. Was looking for a tool which I saw on YouTube, i showed one tall lady in the paint department, she seemed to help but saying “ is there people on the internet you can ask? “ without even trying other team member. If I already got my answer from online, why I came to you to ask? Before, bunnings always call the other staff when one of them can’t answer. Nice and easy. I tried one more staff, he was very impatient as well and said this question should be answered downstairs I don’t know anything about cement then WALK AWAY without saying anything. I missed Stan and some staff around him before, in the old days, people are much more lovely.nowadays some people in this store are bit shame. This is my first one star review left since I came to this country, I didn’t realize something until I read some other review now. In the future, if I’m not in a hurry to buy something, there is no willing to shop in this store anymore, no more happy help and assistance. Hope Wesfarmers will bring more qualified good staff like other stores. Some in this store are ruining the great reputation. If you can, avoid this store until improved, you won’t regret drive a little bit further to rydamere or northmead store, you deserve a better weekend. Cheers

Usually going Bunnings is a pleasant experience but i advise others to avoid this one. Very rude, disappointing customer service. Thing is I bought a ceiling light there and found it doesn't work. I revisited and asked for a replacement in a nice manner to the old lady at the counter (Evelyn probably?). She made a very suspicious facial expression (WHY???) and investigate here and there and started questioning long time. She actually didn't believe me. Come on. it's just 8 dollar something. She finally allowed me to go and get a replacement and when i returned, she didn't make any eye contact since then but just sang to herself along the pop music in the store until i turn my back. She probably is the owner of the branch or at least mother of the owner? Otherwise, Hey Bunnings, I am helping you, you can do better. I know other staff is better that that (At least the young girl who i previously met) She better going home and doing something else.

I go to Bunnings Carlingford regularly as it is the closest Bunnings to me. However, I find that the service there is very poor. The staff are not helpful and do not seem to want to be there and they are definitely not friendly. I once asked a staff member for some help on a drill bit and he told me to just work it out myself and pointed to the area where the bits were located. I've also seen them deal with other customers and they are often condescending and rude. I now find myself going to other Bunnings even though they are further away rather than deal with the staff at Carlingford. The other Bunnings that I go to now (Gladesville, Rydalmere, Artarmon) have fantastic staff who are very helpful and friendly.

  • Dongyang Sun

dont waste your time on such a "busy" store the staffs are not helpful at all. went to the store over the weekend but not sure on a few things, so checked with the reception, and the lady said went back to the aislie and someone would come to help. waited there for 20mins, no one came at all. returned to the reception, and the lady was talking to a staff next to her and doing nothing but laughing. told her no one came to help, and she said it was too busy for them and short of staffs. everyone understood if it is really short of staff due to covid, that is fine and no one would complain. but if you saw the real "busy", then would not come back to this store again. just ruined the reputation of Bunnings.

We've lived here in Carlingford for 22 years. Having this local Bunnings close by has provided me with 90% of the stuff I've needed. The big storage items, shelving, kitchen stuff is best seen in the bigger stores where all the choices are displayed. The knowledgeable staff here are always helpful, often run off their feet but willing to help all customers. I've seen some very rude, pushy customers, really testing the staff's patience. I've seen the customer's lack of English and hardware knowledge causing difficulties. Staff have other customers to deal with, not rude blow-ins who can't be understood.

  • John Corcoran

I think Bunnings does a very good job of hiring/training because at most of their locations the staff are very friendly and helpful. I rarely encounter any attitude even though they get asked the same thing about 100 times a day I'm sure. Bit of a timber shortage at the moment, but they were happy to give me an indication of what they could order in or what the approximate timeline is before next delivery. They also gave me some tips on how I could get around paying the most expensive delivery which is obviously appreciated.

  • Dallas wu

I rarely leave reviews however this store is different. If you are Asian and trying to get paints better off to another branch. Staff name Shirley is racist and judgmental, manager Michael is encouraging such disgraceful behaviour. Both Shirley and Michael teaming up to bring this store to shame, their working relationship is sus as. The lack of labour in our country isn’t an excuse to hire such unprofessional staffs. We all deserve a delightful shopping experience, just don’t expect to find any in this one.

  • lena cha

The customer serivce by some of the older staff is rude and have dismissive attitudes, taking incredibly long periods of time to find something only to come back and say they don't have it in stock. In particular a male supervisor was incredibly rude. He consistently ignores customers waiting in line conversing to other customers for long periods of time and laughing. After waiting 10 minutes, I called for his attention and he dismissed me telling me he was serving someone in a dismissive and rude tone.

I came in on late Monday evening to purchase lights for work. Maria was absolutely amazing!! She went through each box (they had already been ripped open) to ensure the lights were not broken and found all of them faulty broken or missing parts. She then proceeded to ring around and ensure I received brand new lights prechecked not broken with the parts. It was very close to closing time and her professionalism, patience and kindness was incredible. Thank you Maria you really helped me so much.

  • Elizabeth Choi

First time here and the customer service is very poor. No one offered any help, I had a newborn and a toddler in a pram buying several storage boxes, clearly struggling finally got to the cash register with no one there, stood there for a good 3-4 minutes until a worker while walking past shouts “you have to go to exchange desk to pay for that”. Obviously I knew that to pay for something I needed to go to returns and exchanges?! So unfriendly and unhelpful here. Won’t be coming back

  • I H

Amazing people, haven't seen any bunnings warehouse with such amazing people, specially Maria D , she is amazing I asked where I can find sugar wipes and cleaning stuff she came all the way to the isle and helped me choose the right one and she made sure that whatever I am buying is appropriate to my needs and tye best part was where she was not sure of something she asked from her colleague . Hatts off. I asked a million questions, what if why not, etc and she replied politely.

Bad attitude when asking for help of after buying Turf. A man staff said he can not help because he had to have a lunch. and also said with angry, “ Can't you see there are all women? " Actually we wait for them permitting to move the Turf. Finally, a salesgirl came out and help us to move the Turf. Bad experiences. Hope this guy go back to learn a lesson how to do the service and professional manner to the customers. But perhaps it is too late since he has been 45 year-old.

  • Frank S

A cute little bunnings store that stocks the main essentials. Whilst it may have less content than its larger siblings, it is still convenient to have around to save travel time if youre needing something quickly in the area. The downside to being a smaller store is that it is therefore lesser staffed...so you may potentially need to queue up for slightly longer...youll also need to keep your wits about you being a smaller awkward carpark...patience folks!

  • Kenneth Yuen

Good range of engineering products, some plants and staff are given a device to track the inventory of the products. Car park needs to be reconstructed, too many cracks and potholes and faded linemarking with no painted directional arrows to clarify circulation flow. Causes damages to customers car tyres no wonder some customers are not coming to the store. Easy to fix since Bunnings has all the supplies for construction and paint.

  • KJK

Limited products for Bunnings is understandable considering the size. The establishment was very busy and I struggled to find assistance when browsing the store. Ended up finding what I wanted on a top shelf in bulk packaging. I then got keys cut and the staff here were helpful and polite, with one assisting me even when his shift had finished. Keys worked well. Prices are reasonable. Thanks!

  • Holly

Been to many different Bunnings' across Sydney and the staff are always so helpful and friendly- very different experience at Carlingford. Three different staff members didn't want to help after asking them all the same question- didn't care, couldn't be bothered. Fair enough if you don't know the answer or don't have the tool but they were dismissiveand apathetic

  • Pouya Abt

By far the worse costumer service i have ever received in any Bunnings in Australia Sarah a young lady from the counter is the champion of the worst customer interaction Very rude, arrogant Someone needs to teach her some proper manner and customer relationship otherwise she wouldn’t last long The other guy was collaborative and asked Sarah to fix my issue

  • Homer Trix

I like: Convenience; Helpfulness of staff -they know where what I am looking for is located within the store and will guide me to it Good range even though a smaller shop than other locations - they even carry a small range of plants Also love the Saturday morning BBQ for a snag and drink which gives me some brunch and helps a good cause at the same time

  • Ben Dang

It has world-famous bunning snags, authentically cooked by means of a few man's parents. The sausage may not be excessive great, and the chef can be no properly, and even the grill is probably a piece iffy. But, the snag comes collectively with the layers and layers of historic ancestral grease residue at the grill that has in no way been washed.

  • Shabesan Panch

The staff put me down for asking basic chain saw part no. He kept asking if I read instruction manual 3 times in front of other people. I said no. I tried to show him the photo. He didn't look. Ultimately with photo given I was able to get the part. I had no issues with any other bunnings except this one. Staff are debranding bunnings.

  • Kris

Nice little store staff are friendly and helpful had amazing customer service from a team member Tenaya at this store. The old fella in trade seems to know his stuff too. Bloke in electrical section funny guy and knows his stuff also Chris I think his name is. Thanks team you all where amazing

  • Mark Rayner

Went to bunnings Rydalmere to get a pole hedger, they were out of stock but said Carlingford had tow in stock. So off I went to Carlingford. I looked but couldn't find any. I asked the cashier who called staff to help, after 15 minutes no one turned up so I left disappointed. Not good enough.

  • Indeewa Chandrawansa

Solid bunnings. Has most things you require. Unfortunately it is not a massive bunnings so if you need something unique, a massive choice or large quantities of an item you may need to travel to an alternate bunnings. Other than that there is plenty of parking and friendly staff to help out.

  • Bartholomew Tan

Possibly one of the oldest Bunnings I’ve been to - a heritage one. Not sure if the air condition was broken that day or just to fit in with the run down vibes. Staff were helpful as with most Bunnings staff. Does have most of the things I needed. Perhaps a facelift in the near future maybe?

  • The Guide

Very weird Bunnings layout the lower section for trade use is only accessible by foot if you enter from inside, to pickup trade items you will need to drive through the back area into a extremely narrow "trade drive-in" which only fits about 2 or 3 cars at best, it is very tight though.

  • Ben Drury

This Bunnings is convenient but very small compared to other stores nearby such as Thornleigh or Dural. Not much parking onsite but there is a large car park beside it which is usually relatively empty. This store does not have a proper plant selection, just what is out the front.

  • Ark Huynh (Long)

A small store bunning withv2 levels. But it has all you need, trade materials are on the bottom floor. Parking is not an issue as there is a front and also around the side is another big parking lot. I dont think I've ever seen a Sausage sizzle here on the weekend.

  • Arseny Kropachev

Actually, its a bit expensive, compared to IKEA, for instance. You can buy a set of instruments in IKEA for 12,95, and in bunnings it will be around 35-40 aud. However, quality will be according to the price - absolutely fantastic. I like Bunnings very much.

  • Santosh Kumar Nair C

Lots of hardware and paint and power tools available. This is my first visit to this branch of Bunnings. Staff were a bit busy and not very helpful. I tried to get a Irwin blade for a circular saw. No success. The other Bunnings branches have mo options.

  • Kai K

Wish to give 0 star if i can do, the staff in paint shop so rude, if your attitude is stupid like that , get other job rather than make customers anrgy, im writing the complaint letter and sending to bunning warehouse service, so stupide and very rude

  • David

One of the smallest Bunnings so don't go there expecting to find anything and everything. They still have all the same departments but on a smaller scale. They had what I needed though. Didn't really interact with the staff except for check out.

  • JOSHUA BOWENN

MY PARTNER AND I WENT TO BUY GAS AND PICTURE HOOKS AND WERE TREATED LIKE THIEVES FOR WE BELIEVE...*THE WOMAN WHO WAS "HELPING US" (not) WAS NOT VERY ATTRACTIVE AT ALL!! AND MY GIRL IS , SO ACTED VERY OBNOXIOUS AND SEARCHED US. NOT GOING BACK.

  • Kimmie

Unpleasant customer service received. Limited number of staff on the floor and none of them were willing to assist. Lack of knowledge on products as well. Pretty limited stocks so we had to visit other branch which is further to our place.

  • Ben P

Some of the staffs are very rude. I just asked help about something that I didn't know about, and the guy allow himself to talk to me in an insulting way.Bunning better teach his employees to behave properly. It's really disappointing.

  • Chris Bath

Small store, very limited range and they never have what you are after, despite the website saying otherwise. Carpark is a joke despite a patch job now and then—competes with the moon for craters. This store deserves to be closed down.

  • Mark A Mello

Just another bunnings putting local hardware and building supply stores out of business. They sell most things every bunnings sells. Trade drive through is quite small and lacking material. Support small businesses not corporations.

  • Jenny

Great amount of outdoor parking, easily accessible and good location. The Bunnings is a bit smaller than other ones that I’ve been to but it was easy to move around and find what I needed. The staff were reasonably friendly too.

  • Mohammed Owais

Customer care is very good. Staff is helpful. Parking is easily available. Overall one can find almost every thing needed for home improvement and outdoor living. Do ask for cheaper alternative of the product you are looking.

  • David Ng

The staff tell me that this is one of the smallest Bunnings stores in Sydney. But it does have all the basics you'd expect to find, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Please 'Like' this review if you found it helpful.

  • Cherry Lau

Great services, there is an old gentleman who is very experienced and willing to assist. We can tell he enjoys to share his experiences to help customers. Thanks for his excellent customer services. Highly recommended.

  • Tristan Gold

Can never find anything that online says is in stock at this location. Goodluck actually finding a person to get some help. It's as if when you need to ask a question they all take lunch break at the same time all day

  • Ranil Karunarathne

Not a huge warehouse but you can find what you need and mostly friendly and helpful staff. However there is one staff members with very bad attitude. I noticed this many times doesn't know how to talk to customers.

  • Fung Chan

Friendly helpful staff. Store is densely packed and has most things needed for DIY home projects within the Carlingford area. Not as well stocked as the bigger Bunnings further out west, but there is no need to be.

  • Andrew Kirpy

Don't like the trade section Don't have access to the top section of bunnings You pretty much have have to pay down below then drive around to the main section above and pay for things in that section Just a hassle

  • Jacques Bergh

A option for smaller jobs. This neighborhood Bunnings has all the basics with only some of the big ticket items and ranges you’d expect at a major Bunnings not available. The team are usually friendly and helpful.

  • Farzad Momeni

Small branch, but would work for you if you are not looking for a very rare item. The team are professional and helpful. To have a wider range of options, you can visit Thornley branch which is close to this one.

  • Eric Flores

Very handy for getting our immediate hardware needs. We're a regular customer. Wide range of hardware and 'do-it-yourself' supplies on offer at this store at not only reasonable but also competitive pricing

  • Sims Local

Basic bunnings. No nursery section. Maybe a few plants out the front. And low stock on gardening section. It’s good if you’re local and need common stock or if you’re not going for gardening products.

  • Rebecca Birch

One of the smaller stores. Website said they had the item we were after but staff seemed quite keen to dismiss our stock enquiry and let them get back to doing very little (downstairs trade area).

  • R B

Some staff here are racist.. Always get a suspicious reception at the counter like I've stolen something everytime I go here. I hate going to this Bunnings. Never have what I'm looking for anyway

  • YJEmily Lee

Worst Bunnings ever! Didn’t notice customer for non-exchange items, when customer asked for exchange because faulty they judging customer’s hygiene. They don’t provide standard customer either!

  • Alex Wong

One of the smaller stores that has a shorter operating time. If you need things late at night, rydalmere store is a better option. 5 stars because all the staffs are always helpful.

  • Somu yadav

Good Store with great stuff. But quite disappointed with a bit high prices. My expectations was for low prices. But good for those who wants all hardware stuff under one roof

  • Helayna Zahra

Staff were unhelpful. Products were good. Good amount of parking, easy to find on main road. But staff left a sour taste in my mouth. Will only go back out of convenience.

  • Hai Ning Sun

I rate your store 5 stars because of Chris B. ! He is always very helpful, knowledgeable and great customer service - he explains everything with a good sense of humour.

  • Libby P

Fantastic service from Maria with helping me with advice on hanging a piece of art. Truly knows her stuff. The store is tired looking inside….needs its own renovations.

  • Peter Johnston

Every Bunnings is pretty much the same. They have everything you need and friendly staff to help you find it. The only thing that varies is the size of the store.

  • Simon Clark

A smaller sized Bunnings nevertheless seems to have everything I need. Confusing having the two floors but the staff are super helpful which helps alliviate this.

  • Omer Saeed

Small store, can't find what you're looking for most of the times. They also don't have a digital paint prep machine. But conveniently located and helpful staff.

  • Michael Mcpherson

A smaller bunnings but still carries all the essentials. Friendly staff. Easy parking and plenty of it so a park is always possible a good local hardware store.

  • Vicky Wang

Friendly staff, special thank you to Chris. Chris is very knowledgeable, easy to approach and explains the products in details. Very impressed with his service.

  • Ethan Ross

friendly staff, good service, always can find what I am looking for and More!! , parking is a bit restricted however that only affects during peak hours

  • Pooria Sarrami

Staff members are very helpful, today Chris from plumbing was kind beyond our expectations and left us leave the shop very happy. A credit to Bunnings.

  • Sid Rev

Older smaller Bunnings offering limited selections of goods. Great service from Mr. Stanley who was knowledgeable and kindly gave me advice on faucets.

  • D Rasha D

Fantastic shop to visit fixing essentials. The shop doesn't carry the whole range of stuff...I am very happy asking visits to quickly pick up stuff.

  • Ajendra Diwakar

Nice little outlet. you get most of what you require without the busy nature of other shops. Parking and access is easy which makes it even better

  • BOK CHOY

Really helpful and friendly staff when I visited mid-week. A little hard to find what I was after, lucky for me the staff were helpful …

  • Andrew Oliver

Smaller store size. Has most of the go to stuff. Trade area is downstairs/underneath the main building. Ample parking, helpful red shirts.

  • Ronan Duraisamy

Great customer service whenever I'm here. The staff is friendly, always willing to give a hand. No doubt it's the best Bunnings to visit!

  • Mehnaz Farah

It's a good place if you need to buy tools or other home improvement products.. I loved them.. the stuffs are very helpful and friendly..

  • Joanne L

This outlet is small. So don't expect too much. No problem getting the basic. You just don't get much to choose from. Good luck.

  • Paul Sheather

A small Bunnings store but still had what I wanted. Not too busy either, which was good. Easy to walk over from Carlo Court.

  • Ben “Jamo” Jamieson

Too small to be a bunnings, not really sure what stock they were carrying. No bathroom fittings or drain covers available.

  • m c

Stan, Dean, Adam, Maria (both of them!), & Evelyn are friendly and always willing to help. They always solve my problems!

  • Little CreaturesAU

The misfit store that doesn’t carry roofing products? One would expect the chain of stores to be of the same calibre!!!!

  • April Yeung

Sophie in the paint shop was very attentive and patient in trying to match the colour sample we had. Thank you so much!

  • Jim Mitchell

Small and slightly awkward to get into if coming from North. Not a huge range so worth checking stock level in advance.

  • Michael Williams

Stanley was extraordinary helpful with my plumbing inquiry Truely one of the best customer service experiences I've had

  • Darren Mason

Great staff, but check that they stock what you're looking for before you go, this is the smallest Bunnings I know of.

  • Alvaskins

The old guy 'Bunnings Gandalf' is a legend and has given me pointers on loads of jobs I've had to around my house.

  • Sathyajith Tiranagama

Conveniently located. Good for basic hardware needs. Range is limited compared to larger stores such as Rydelmere.

  • Talwin Ho

Surprisingly well stocked for its store size but still lag behind other "bigger" Bunnings in terms of varieties.

  • Jonathan Yu

Very helpful staff members but doesn't carry as much stocks due to the warehouse size. Otherwise all good.

  • Paul McInerney

Very little available for tradesmen. Maybe they could empty the bin in toilets every now and then.

  • Shane Arnold

Great little Bunnings! Easy to find stuff, so a huge plus. Plus the checkout lady was very sweet.

  • Amit Chaturvedi

It's a local small warehouse, not everything is available but nice and helpful staff.

  • Adam He

Refund seems not applicable to the products not purchased from this particular store.

  • majid hamidi

This morning come to have a quick shopping.bad reputation ,hursh ,bad behaiviour .
