Bangarribee Park is a place where families can enjoy their day along with their kids. It is a very open space, and will definitely get you relaxed by the end of the day. It has many spacious shelters with picnic tables for your family to eat a homemade meal there. As for the entertainment, there are many large play areas for kids to play in, including sand pits, swings, zip lines, several slides, riding tracks to enjoy. For little kids, there is a specially designed kids playground where your little ones can also have fun. There are also some grassy lawn-like spaces where you can play all kinds of games, including cricket, football, frisbee, badminton, tennis and many more. If you want to barbecue, there are big, good-quality barbecue stations to do so. Even though this park is a really tranquil area, watch out for the magpies in certain riding tracks, because they might chase you for a long time. The toilets are located at the entrance, and are quite hygienic. The car parks are also located at the entrance and have enough spaces to park your car. There are many bubblers to refill your drink or grab a drink instead. The nature located over there gives you a calm feeling and can shelter you as well. This park is one of the best places to rewind over the weekend after a hectic and tiring week.

Home to one of Sydney’s largest off-leash dog areas, Warrigal Dog Run, and an award-winning playground with a 14-metre high climbing tower, slides, 50-metre long flying fox, swings, and water play equipment – there is something for kids of all ages. The wetland around Bungarribee and Eastern Creek is protected, and 20 hectares of native wildflower and thousands of native trees are gradually being planted there to restore the original landscape, known as the Cumberland Plain. There is also free parking, 26 barbecues and 18 picnic shelters (ten of which can be booked for your special occasions), and popular pop-up Stallion Burgers on site for your convenience. Opening hours: Western Sydney Parklands is open to pedestrians 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  All Parklands gates are open daily from 8am – 6pm (8pm during daylight saving).

Revisited for the Glow event which my kids really enjoyed.. not only the light installations but the chance to use the little I've skating rink, see the live juggler and use the Ferris wheel at night. I'm not a huge fan of zoos in general however being school holidays I thought it would be nice to try something new. This zoo seems quite well organised. It's not huge, we spent around 2 hours there but the park is quite flat (which is different to Taronga) and easy to get around. For it's size, it has all the main animals that you'd expect to see and quite large roaming areas for them. During the time there we did only see one talk taking place, but there didn't seem to be any information around the park about whether these happen more often / times etc. Regardless, it was a nice day out and the Ferris wheel and being able to see the whole area of the park was an added bonus (although that does cost extra).
Features
Public restrooms: Yes
Off-leash dog area: No

Fantastic playground with lots of options for all ages. The climbing tower is great for older kids and adults. The four different slides are fast so be aware. There are water pumps so be prepared by taking a change of clothes for littles. There is a good selection of swings too, including a set for older kids. Additionally there are two options to do timed runs and there is plenty of space to scoot and ride a bike. The slides can get a little hot and ready fake grass by the flying fox gets way too hot. Plenty of parking and lots of water bubblers with lovely cold water. The toilets are close to the car park and are nice and clean. Additionally, there are lots of picnic options with shade scattered across the park and some BBQs. It's clear that it's a new playground and there could be better shade over the water play and the swings, but this might also come with time with the bushes and trees getting more established.

Good way to spend the morning with the family 4ish hours. Cheapest tickets are purchased online. Only payment options are credit card. No PayPal or 3rd party options. If you are looking to try out a animal encounter and you have children 6 and under the only one available are the meerkats, barramundi and the camels. Cheapest encounters are the camel and Barramundi @ $9.99 per person. Best to prebook and pay for any encounter online. Encounters could be a little longer though. Best days at mid to end of the work week Wednesday-Friday as the park is not to busy. Little to no waiting and still plenty to see and take photos of Bring a packed lunch and utilise the picnic grounds. Food is a little over priced but still manageable. Plenty of parking.

Slightly disappointing that the "best park in Sydney" slides and play structure were boarded up and not mentioned in recent reviews (because a number of people are confused with their ratings of Sydney Zoo). The sandpit area complete with water pumps, swings and flying fox were great though. Plenty of shade around playground and over tables/seating and BBQ area and amenities available; reasonably spread out. Lots of works happening at the zoo, constant loud trucks/beeping didn't make for a particularly pleasant picnic lunch but less obvious closer to main park structure. I'd love to come back one day and be able to improve my rating as it really is an amazing park, great for younger and older kids alike.

Bought an unlimited family pass coz my 4yo love animalz and this zoo has every animal you can think of for a zoo in general! Sydney zoo is not as big as Taronga zoo, but good for family like us dont want a lot of walking It took us approx 2 hours to finish the whole zoo and just enough for little one without overtired. They have recently added a cute Rhino! Food and drinks inside expected to be overpriced but thats normal. Members have discount on food and drinks. Have fun!

  • Lee Lee

I actually really like the park, sand is the best with water play inside the huge sand box. Big tunnel slides , always fun to watch the dad's come zooming out of them as they are quick !! Lots of areas to play sports here, Barbecues and sheltered picnic tables. Parents : if you have kids that like trucks and diggers, bring some toys for them to play in the sand.. how many times children snatch off my kids is unbelievable.. I don't want to make your kids cry by snatching it back - So just do your part & bring some toys.

Lovely park at the back of Sydney Zoo. This is a family favorite for gatherings and picnics. Endless fields of green, lot's of shades under trees. They also have picnic shelters, some you can use for free and some big ones you can reserve/book through their website. There also free to use barbecue grills near the picnic shelters. Different play areas for kids, sand pits, swings, slides, zip line, and the most popular, the climbing tower. There are also many parking bays available, as well as public restrooms.

  • Alita Alag

One downside no much toilet for large park, especially if the place gets heaps of people, good luck if your picnic area is at the far end.
Playground
Plenty activity playground Massive
Restrooms
Not much privacy, unless you use the disabled toilet and if your picnic area is on far end of the park. Good luck. They should provide more than one public restrooms each. Ladies toilet has only 6 toilets, same goes with men's side. Some of ladies toilet was blocked.

This is a great park! We visited on Easter Sunday and there was still plenty of room for everyone. Lots of activities for the kids including a flying fox and water play. Shelter sheds do get booked out so taking your own shelter pod or gazebo is a good idea. We took our own chairs but there were spare park benched right near us. Free barbecue facilities are a nice touch. It was also nice to see the rangers in attendance.making sure everyone was behaving - which they were.

  • Starman Starscapes

This is a large fairly new park ,the playground is good , new equipment the main attraction is the 20metre double flying fox . There are several swings all in a row under a shaded awning , good for summer .There are bbq facilities available and the toilets are nice and new and clean , gates close at 8pm daylight saving time .There is also an area for your dog to have a run around off the leash ,and there is a Burger cafe , not sure about pricing though .

Great park! Blacktown Council has done a good job on this one. Great facilities and always well kept and clean. Presence of park rangers on weekends is good too. Good place to take your dog for a walk. I love the design of shaded area. Secret tip for dog owners: there’s a track that leads to the back part of the park, after a rain there’s a bit of build up water which my dog loves to take a dip especially on a hot summer day.

  • Priya

Had to roam around to find this park as the location pinned was wrong. Just did the correct update. It's has huge tower and unique play area for kids. Had many shaded area along with BBQ pits and neat restrooms as well. Has few walking tracks as well inside this park. Ample car parking and nice place to spend evening with the kids.
Playground
Has swings, slides, sand pits, flying fox and more

A great place to have a picnic with family. We enjoyed the wide open spaces and the clean facilities. The toilets were clean too! The flying fox was a huge hit with the kids, but adults tend to bottom out on the ground. The kids thought it was very funny. Not a lot of shade a way from the picnic tables, but that will change as the trees mature. Swings and water play were also enjoyed. Recommended.

  • MXGIRL 101

Very nice park and picnic grounds. Clean shelters to sit under spread out amongst manicured grass. Clean bbqs for public use. Large kids play, large swings area & a flying fox for kids to enjoy . Only downfall is play equipment for younger toddlers learning to walk is the swings unfortunately the larger play area is suited to kids 3 and up . Large fenced dog park for your dogs to exercise in .

  • Katherine

Lovely park with lots of grassy areas to sit. Nice paths for a walk. Lots of new trees planted which means more shade in 2 years time. Sydney Zoo is near completion which adjoins this park. I’m sure it will get busier once this opens. The landscaping is well done with lots of areas for native species. This green corridor is finally being used, a real treasure for Western Sydney.

  • Gary De Jesus

This park is fantastic!! My three kids (boy 8 and two girls 6 & 4) all love it because it caters for each of them. There is a 50m double flying fox so twp kids can ride together and one of the longest I've seen at a park. The climbing tower is awesome. And so much open space to run around and kick/throw a ball. Finally, more than enough track for the kids to ride their bikes.

  • Chloe Hampton

Loved the park - lots of space for the little ones to run around the only thing is that the slides are slightly dangerous for the little ones. My 4yo came flying out of the slide crying from fear and pain as she landed on her bum in the sand. There are other, smaller sides opposite the ones facing the parking lot, these were more her speed. Great place to fly a kite!

  • Rizwan F

Great day out for children. The kids playground is a short walk from the car park. To go there do not turn right at the first right turn. A lot of parking spaces. Quite a few shades with BBQ facilities. Great place for outdoor picnics and birthday parties. Amenities are also available near main playground. Can be very busy on a sunny day.

  • Jemma Werner

This is our favourite park! We drive about an hour from home just to visit here! We go for walks and bike rides along the track, play in the playgrounds that have so many things for the kids to play on! There's a water and sand play area! And plenty of BBQ areas! There are so many beautiful spots to have picnics. We just love it!

  • Daithí Kilcourse

Huge park. Plenty of parking. A lot of areas to have a bbq or picnic. Lots of walking areas and kids playgrounds. There is a big tower located at one of the kids play areas that has some nice views.

A fantastic toddler friendly zoo, plenty of exhibits and a great cafeteria. The terrain is flat and easy for prams, with lots of shade sporadically around and misting systems to keep you cool in the summer. There is also a Ferris wheel and sandpit to break up the day for children. There is plenty of parking available as well.

  • Tva Tva

A great park for kids and family, plenty of park activities for kids including big slides, sand pit, water play.. there are huts and Bbq facilities available for small function such as birthday parties., These huts can be booked in advance via council website otherwise you can go early to the park for reserving the spot.

  • Christian Lopez

Massive dog park with plenty of space for many dogs to run around. One larger area and a smaller area as well separated by a single gate. Recently the smaller area received a new water/fountain, I wish they would have added another one for the larger dog area at that end as well. Only down fall to the dog park.

  • Jo dee (JK)

Awesome, unique play grounds... for ages 0 - 16yrs! Great for interactive play, especially for kids with sensory needs... BBQ areas, shady spots, shade cloth covered play equipment, toilet facilities, bubblers and heaps of grass areas for a game of footy or soccer ⚽️ …

This zoo is fantastic for people of all ages. I love how the zoo is flat surface so great for people with mobility issues like myself. Staff are friendly however I do think they need more staff on the front counter as i had to wait a fair bit of time to be served however still a great day out

  • Fawwad Hashmey

This is a great park for kids. Its huge and has lots of different activities for the kids to be engaged for hours. Just strolling around the park would be enough to spend a good evening. Bonus is that its right next to the zoo so just bisit it right after for a relaxing lunch or evening tea.

  • Varghese K C

Nice park to have a picnic with family and friends, plenty of picnic areas for all types of family events. There are many large play areas for kids like Sand pits, swings, zip lines, slides and riding tracks. Free parking and lot of shutters of BBQ facilities and well maintained washrooms.

  • Bella Tung

It's easy access, and pram friendly. Lots of animals, and i like the aquarium.some people said not many shows But i think just let the animal to live a normal life is good too. Maybe the zoo can think of some ways to entertain the animal and the tourist can be entertain at the same time.

Beautiful park in the reserve. Perfect picnic place. Needs more car parking close to park. You can spend some quality time with the family or friends. It would've been better if more creative and practical toys installed on playground for the kids instead of what they've done. …

  • Kunalan Sivapathasuntharam

Very beautiful park with well maintained and clean facilities that include walking and cycling tracks, kids play areas, sand pit, BBQ tables, shaded areas with benches, public toilets and plenty of parking slots. Love this place, and would recommend for picnic and birthday parties.

Lovely zoo to visit. Very well maintained and friendly staff. All the animals are well cared for. You can take your own food or eat at the cafe, it's not too badly priced. It's an easy walk around the zoo. Make sure you plan your day look online to see what time talks are on.
