Becareful of scam parking person gave you ticket while you there take pictures for 10 minutes. And when you turn around they came out out of nowhere and give you ticket while you take pictures as a tourist. And there are no sign telling you to pay nor machine to pay ticket near that light house. and they know the tourist doesnt know that. They are hiding somewhere and wait for tourist turn around and tourist can't see them and give you ticket while taking pictures. its like back stabber to tourist. They are using the nice scene to attract yoir attention. such a bad way to treat noobie and tourist. Was parking all over the city and pay parking ticket, and havet seen 1 single parking office look at any time for many hours straight. because they know that most People know need to pay parking and machine are there. its easy to as a predator to eat those tourist who knows nothing. Becareful of how they treat tourist, it will happened again and again. such a bad way to treat tourist. its normal in Vancouver!

In 1890, due to the turbulent currents and many accidents,a crude set up of lanterns on a mast was set up as a beacon for incoming sea vessels. 1914 marked the opening of the Brockton Point Lighthouse. Named after Francis Brockton, an engineer aboard the HMS Plumber that surveyed the BC coast from 1857-1860.The lighthouse had many keepers with the last retiring in1956. The light was deactivated in 2008 but continues to draw many tourists. Designed by William P.Anderson and constructed of masonry materials. Spectacular views of the mountains and the Second Narrows Bridge. I happened to be there when some military ships were in the harbour.

Cute place to take some nice pictures for Instagram and also walk around during the sunset or even any time of the day really. There is a look out point away from the biking lane. Lots of roller skaters so be aware of them! Went for a stroll after our daye night dinner and was thankful to find parking right away right beside the lighthouse on a very very busy Saturday evening. If you get here just before 9pm don't forget to walk a bit backwards to watch the 9pm gun go off every night. Cover your ears or your child's ear cause it is quite loud when you're up close

Cool little lighthouse with views of North Van. Luckily it snowed yesterday so there was a picturesque backdrop of the snow capped mountains! On the little plaque it says there used to be a lot of otters, seals and orcas in the bay on a daily basis but not so much now due to all the ships and pollution. If you get chance to spend some time here, you may be in for a treat. Check it out

A Stanley Park showpiece, the present Brockton Point Lighthouse was built in 1914, but the story of the light on the point begins in 1890, just a year after the dedication of the park. Keepers: William David Jones (1890 – 1924), E.E. Beck (1924 – 1925), John H. Walsh (1925 – 1936), Alex McLeod (1936 – 1940), G. B. Kilgour (1940 – 1956).

One of my favorite spot to see the beautiful cityscape of downtown Vancouver. You can either drive, biking or walk along with the seawall to get to this lighthouse. There are chairs to seat. The views is spectacular to see mountain, water, and North Vancouver in one place. Would recommend come here at sunset time range for better photos.

Beautiful scenic view. Great place to sit and rest as there are many benches along the side. Sometimes you might see a seaplane take off from nearby. The trail around Stanley Park goes by here as well, so you can walk, run, bike, drive, or even fly (in a seaplane) to this location. Parking costs money, but you can probably sit in your car and look out at the view for a few minutes as well.

Great point in Stanley Park. Will note that you cannot enter the lighthouse. Even though the lighthouse is not being used at this point, it’s still a terrific landmark and has an amazing view of the city from the point of view. Very accessible to get to and was an awesome attraction at sunset.

The Brockton Point Lighthouse is located directly at the north coast of Stanley Park in direction of the Vancouver Harbour. It is an old Lighthouse in white and red paint built to honor all the seafarers and those who created the port of Vancouver. It is a nice place with a nice view!

Currently not accessible by car, you can ride your bike though. Still a busy spot for people to stop and take pictures but the park across the street is not so busy, even on a sunny Sunday. Lots of park benches and two picnic tables for your use. Stairs from the lighthouse lead down to the seawall. Make sure to take a few pictures of the view.

I’m being Super honest , this has a nice view , you might be able to get some nice pictures, and “relax” but not for somebody that’s looking for fun , it’s good to stop by if you’re around here , but it’s not like you’re going to organize a trip just to come and see the lighthouse ... cuz there’s nothing where you can even buy a coffee

Amazing viewpoint on a sunny day. Planes taking off and landing on the water. Ships passing by. Towns nestled into the green mountains. Bridge in the distance. There seems to be a well-protected bike route around the park that I will try next time.

This just happened to be one stop on our bike tour around Stanley Park. If you're fortunate enough to make it here plan the time to explore the area on a bicycle. The entire Park area is designed to be bicycle and walker friendly. This particular spot I could have sat and watched the water for another hour.

Great little lighthouse. You can see seaplanes taking off and landing from here. Has access to bike lane but gets hard to ride when crowded. Also visible from here are the sulphuric plant nearby.

Small red and white lighthouse perched at the south east end of Stanley Park. A set of steps circular steps allow for a more private spot to enjoy. Take in views of the Lions Gate Bridge in the north end as well as north Vancouver neighborhood located across the harbour waters.

This is definitely a must stop while doing wedding photography. It contains multiple angles within few steps. Only drawback is the amount of people around never stops, definitely not a great location if you can't wait, otherwise don't miss it. Photos by Farawayland weddings.

Nice chilling place with the park in front of the lighthouse. The view is okay…not impressive. It was very foggy today. The mountains behind are spectacular as well as the Lion Gate, but the port on the other side is ugly.

  • Tate Spitters

Beautiful location! Stopped here along our drive of Stanley park and was pleasantly surprised by how great of a view you got from this location. Great spot to stop and take photos and just relax by the water.

  • Matty B

Stop by the beautiful (closed) lighthouse, and take in the views of the surrounding Vancouver metro and outer-lying hills.

We were riding bikes along the seawall and this was the perfect stop to see the ships in the harbour. You can go under the lighthouse but it is not open to go in.
