Heavenly tasty desserts in Newtown, with a variety of cakes and pastries. They were surely famous for their Watermelon cake, but their Raspberry Lychee cake is also worth trying. Dragon cake is another highly recommendation. The store is well designed with a tall ceiling, but the space is a bit tight. Not too many chairs to sit down, couldn’t been even nicer if there are some table outside. However, most customers seem to do take-away, so it’s fair not to have too many chairs to sit. I read through some reviews, and found some people are stupid and ridiculous enough to come in the last 15-30 mins and expected to be served. Maybe check the open and close time, and try to come in at least 1 hour before the closing time, since people need to start cleaning up and packing up. Have some commonsense and stop being entitled.

Tried the famous strawberry watermelon cake. It lived up to the hype for sure. We also tried the lemon pistachio cake. It was the right balance of sweet and sour. BUT… the customer service here is horrible. Firstly, there are limited seats - 8 bar stools to be exact. We asked the staff for help as we were holding 2 plates and a drink. We needed a seat and there were customers who had already finished their food and drinks. They refused to help and ignored our request. So, we had to stand right in front of the cake / pastry display in the corner to eat. It was so frustrating as we were blocking incoming patrons. After we finished, we wanted to order a ham and cheese croissant to go. We saw a staff placing it on a tray and was about to wrap it. WE KNEW THAT they still had it but refused to serve it as it was 30 mins to closing time. IN SHORT, HORRIBLE SERVICE, NICE CAKE BUT NOT WORTH THE EXPERIENCE AND WE WON’T BE COMING BACK.

A cute small dessert & pastry shop here in Newtown! The cakes here are really unique and pretty looking, and yes it does taste nice too! Decided to take away the strawberry watermelon cake and the ume forest cake for a friend’s birthday (since this shop is really popular for its special cakes here in Sydney). All of us preferred the ume forest cake though hahaha, it has a hint of alcohol and it’s really good! But the strawberry watermelon cake is good as well, we’ve not tasted anything like this so far Only downside was that it’s kinda pricy for the size/portion of the cake, for this price you could get a much bigger cake elsewhere. Ordered a cup of iced latte too but the latte was very mediocre, not worth the price as it costs me $6.50 However service was good and staff were attentive. Good job and much love from Malaysia!

First try was seven years ago and yes, they are famous for watermelon cake. Even the price gets higher and the size gets smaller, I might still recommend it. However, I was blown away by their pastry. Couldn’t remember its name in the first picture but can’t forget how it was tasted. Amazing!! The fulfilled feeling maintained and treat my day. Have tried several pastry stores and already known nowadays new and unique styles of pastry. But sometimes, you realize it is hard to be good at a simple thing. I might try their different pastries these days to prove my point of view.

This little pastry shop is so cute , the plates, the cups, the takeaway packaging and etc. are all very unique, like the design. We arrived just before 11 am on Saturday, the restaurant was not very busy, the staff were friendly, helpful, and patient. The watermelon cake is yummy as always, not watery, and tastes fresh.

They have pretty colorful selection of cakes at the display counter which caught my eyes instantly. Wish that I’d have all of them. I decided to go for their signature strawberry watermelon cake and the lemon pistachio cake. Both of the cakes were pretty good in terms of the flavor and texture. Not overly sweet and I enjoyed every bit of them. Would love to come back again to try other cakes!

I thought I would try a different dessert from their signature watermelon cake. I tried the Yuzu mango cake. It was okay, nothing spectacular about it. I would probably stick to the watermelon cake next time. I enjoyed that cake a lot more.

Bought this cake as a special surprise for a special occasion, and what attracted me to it was the explanation of the meaning that the Swan origami on the cake represents. It was very beautiful and tasted just wonderful!! 5/5. Great cake, a must try

The cakes are beautiful and delicious from another world. It's like eating a piece of art. The coffee was warm, smooth, and tasty without sugar. Perfect texture and aroma. Would come again, let’s hope the quality remains this for good.
