At my wife’s suggestion, I hit up Backstairs Burger. “It’s supposed to be the best burger in Edmonton” she tells me. I have a lunch appointment so I head up at 11:15 to see if it’s open. It is, and, in what is a telling sign, there are 4 other people already eating burgers by the time arrive. I’m no burger scientist but Backstairs does not disappoint. I get the OG and a Coffee Crisp shake, and not for the last time. The service is friendly and fast. 5/5 on all metrics. I’ll be back, and you should definitely make the trek up to Europa Boulevard (right at the tip of the escalator) to check them out.

Have ate here twice, first time wasn't bad but most recently I had to wait for 30 minutes for 1 burger as two large parties had ordered before I arrived. I would've preferred to be notified of the wait time before ordering. The burger had very cold lettuce, as if it just came out of the freezer and threw the balance of the burger way off. Don't think I'll try it again.

I have been very looking forward to try them. Unfortunately, the beef didn’t have much taste and was very dry/overcooked. I was very happy for having gluten free options though. The service was great, a bit slow but not a problem. And the fries were ok.

Plenty of tasty, filling and quality options at Backstairs Burger! I tried their OG burger and crack fries were my favorite; perfectly crispy and flavourful. Bit on the pricey end but well worth it. Be sure to check them out, I’m already looking forward to trying their coffee crisp shake!

The burger was good (only suggestion is to lay of the sauce on the burger. It was way overboard and that’s the only thing I could taste halfway through!) service was great she delivered right too me! Would come again if I asked for no sauce or just a little bit!

This was one of the most delicious and outstanding burger places we’ve been to in YEARS. I can’t say enough good about the food, we didn’t want to leave one crumb behind! We will definitely be back!

I've tried about half the menu now at Backstairs and the food is excellent. My favourite dishes so far are the duck tots, Italian stallion, crack fries, and pb &j. The bacon and fried are so unique compared to other restaraunts.

Ordered a burger and got a completely burnt chicken breast with the burger after waiting for about 30mins. Total disappointment!

Absolutely amazing burger. I had the OG burger and fries and loved it. Highly recommend checking them out at West Edmonton Mall.
