1st time I went to this store, I told cashier, "I'm new to the area & he told me he was the owners son. I noticed he had poor customer service. 2nd time I mentioned to other cashier what 1st cashier said. 2nd cashier said 1st cashier NOT owner son & we have many complaints about this guy. 3rd or 4th time I was stopping by- took 1st cashier 5/10minutes to answer the door. At that time I told him he lost a customer, plus I had my son with me. This was the worst of it-he said, "he didn't care"- if my son wasn't there-police would've had to show up-I would've hurt this guy. He yelled twice, he threatened me with a log book saying he had me on there twice. I told him to calm down my child's here and I'm a customer. The log book should hold him accountable. It's proof of his prejudice, ignorance and racist attitude. What came out of his mouth was false. Just as an example: I asked about "Rev" drinks & how it tastes he answered he doesn't drink and he said none of his employee's get hired if they drink because of theft. I was kind of puzzled, wondered why he was sharing this info. He tried turning it into a useless argument while I was walking out the door. They have all this on camera, so they can view those recordings if they want. Next time I go in there, I'll probably get kicked out because of this comment. Final point, him yelling at my child saying he don't care he's there. This shows he has no respect! He should be fired, he's losing a lot of business for the owners.

Reported this store to the BBB (something which I have only done one other time in my life). Some of the staff are alright, unfortunately the staff member who regularly works evenings and weekends is a mean spirited, nasty, disrespectful discriminating jerk. After he had been fairly derogatory and nasty to me (I have a beard, which seemed to be the source of his ire), I began taking my business elsewhere, as I don't enjoy doing business with unpleasant people. I informed his boss that he was losing a few hundred $$$ a month because his employee was so rude and nasty. Since then I have popped in once while this employee was working, he yelled and screamed at me (I can only assume because I had reported him to his boss, as I was calm and polite the entire time), and even pushed me. So go to this store if you enjoy being yelled at, harassed, threatened, sworn at, and physically attacked. Go to this store if you don't mind supporting a store that approves of discrimination, racism, and bigotry. Otherwise, I'd advise against it.

Was just in here tonight. I come in once in a while since the prices are better than BC Liquor stores. This time however, someone was playing horrendously offensive music over the radio. Some uncensored rap song that was definitely not from the radio. I then asked the cashier why they are playing this song (Indian guy), and he asked if I liked it, and started rapping with it (saying the N word and other expletives). I was shocked to say the least. Maybe english is not his first language but swearing openly and playing inappropriate music should have EASILY been trained. If not, this employee should not work here if he can't learn basic customer service.

I'm sorry that Mr. Colin had a hard time, but I've never found such trouble. The people that I've seen working there have always been reasonable, or even friendly. More importantly though, this establishment gets a high rating from me for the simple reason that it's a place to acquire alcohol, in this part of the city, on late nights or Sundays. If you're anywhere near Burnaby, and you want something to drink, you'll have trouble past a certain time. This is right on 49th, and its selection is fine.

Would give the service here a zero if I possibly could. Bought a $30 bottle of red wine that was undrinkable (tasted corked to my wife and I). Tried to return/exchange it the next day, told to come back Monday. Returned Monday, denied a return or an exchange under any circumstances ‘because it was opened’. That has never happened in thirty years of drinking wine. Been here several times for beer, and wanted to like this store but I’ll never go here again. Ridiculous.

What a delightful place ! Conveniently located off Victoria and 49th. Staff are always so super friendly and accommodating. Store is bright, clean & well organized, with all around great prices (items I’ve purchased have always been a lower price then Downtown where I live) They also run a lot of specials - especially on Wine. More often then not, you will find things chilled to perfection. When I am in the area I will continue to go. Definitely Recommend!!

I have been buying liquor there a lot for the last couple years but this one fat, bald, unattractive guy from India is super rude, unprofessional and probably a racist or just prejudiced. I'm a caucasian male and have always been respectful but he is a big reason why I will not support this business and I recommend you all purchase your fire water from somewhere else. We don't need garbage customer service.

Rude employees. Went to buy a couple bottles of liquor and they refused to serve us. And we were confused. We had our IDs present and we were definitely older than the drinking age. I read through other reviews that the staff there are racist towards people that are not their ethinicity and I guess that explains it. Would not recommend going.

i unfortunately don’t remember the lovely bloke at the counter but the service and products are always perfect. my ubereats delivery driver guillaume was an absolute honeybun. just had to write this review for that alone. absolutely lovely and if you get either the gent at the cashier stand or guillaume you’re very lucky

It say open 9 am each time I go there no one in the shop and waiting 15 min someone come and open the door . I ask for a paper bag , they don’t . Just got home drink fall from my hand . My morning turn night mare . I live very close to this place I will never go there again . Better I go far place to get better service

Big, bright, Punjabi family run shop with a nice selection of items including European beers and International wines. Many prices are on par with gov liquor store. The music can also be very good depending on the staff on duty. Generally, a good vibe and fun shopping experience.

This is the worst place to buy Alcohol. Guys there are very rude probably Racist mostly this Indian tall guy. They yell and talk rudely to customers. BC Liquor Licensing should close it. I would advice to buy your alcohol some place else.

I bought a Sapporo tallie on sale from here. Tastes funny at the time didn't really noticed, then I had diarrhea for 3 days. Other than that this is the spot I go to for my booze. Great location. Across from supreme n Garcha.

Very friendly staff. Especially the person called "JET" Vast collection of wines and liquors. I just love to go here all the time. At last, they always have that pumping music everytime I go (perhaps, this pulls everyone in).

A very small liquor store. Great for if you're in a rush and need somewhere to pick up a bottle of wine or a 6 pack. Definitely wouldn't go out of my way to go here though, especially if you're looking for selection.

New location accross the street is much better. Nice cold beer at the new location. Good wine section at the new location. Key point is that the have a new location accross the street which is a huge improvement.
