I do not recommend Aleks Moving When it came time to pay for the move, Mario, the owner’s brother, demanded that I pay cash or by e-transfer. I have NEVER heard of a reputable company not accepting a credit card. In fact I had paid my card off the day before to ensure there was plenty of room to pay the movers. Mario lost his oily obsequious smile when I asked to pay with my credit card. No! Cash only. I explained I could pay $2400 in cash with the balance ($565) coming the very next day. As I’d just paid off my Visa I didn’t have enough to pay the full amount but surely they could wait 24 hours for the rest. In fact, as it turned out, my money arrived exactly one hour after Aleks Moving left. Here’s the point: NO ONE FROM THE COMPANY TOLD ME I HAD TO PAY CASH ONLY. There were plenty of opportunities when it could have - should have - advised me of the cash only policy. The owner came to my old address to price out my move. That would have been a good time to tell me. Franco failed to do so. If I had known about the cash only policy, I would NOT HAVE HIRED Aleks Moving. I do not support under the counter businesses. I pay my taxes. Aleks Moving can pay its taxes too. Mario was rude and very aggressive towards me after I’d asked to pay the balance the next day. He threatened to hold my electronics until I paid in full. In the end, a friend loaned me the money to pay in full. SO Franco and Mario, you lost a client because you are greedy and unreasonable. I will make it my business to tell people not to hire you. I paid 80 per cent of the bill in cash. I would have been able to pay the remaining 20 per cent one hour - or at worst 24 hours- later. In short, AVOID Alecs Movers. The owner and his brother are greedy and unreasonable people. You’ve lost a good client and I will not recommend you under any circumstances.

I have to say this is the best moving company in Oakville. My mom and I hired Alek and his team yesterday to do a big move for us (we were living in our house for 22 years so you can imagine the amount of things we had), and Alek and his team arrived and I cannot believe how amazing they were. These guys dismantled all our furniture (big heavy pieces as well) and got everything from our house into their trucks in the span of maybe 2-3 hours. Once we got the keys for our new home, they reassembled everything and put everything into the correct places. Even when moving our furniture out of our old place and moving things into the new place, these guys never made a scratch on the wall or damaged ANYTHING. I must say, if you are making a big move and need a reliable moving company, this is the one to go to. I can’t thank them enough for all the hard work they did yesterday. As it’s just my mom and I we appreciated everything they did for us. Additionally, the price for the amount of work these guys did was incredible. Definitely working with them in the future again.

I did lot of shopping and read lot of reviews for different moving companies...The fruit of my long time search was to hire Aleks. My decision end up to be the right one: they showed up on time, very quick and effective, went above and beyond what is required, handle all of the move in a very professional and efficient way . I have four kids that were around us during the move and Aleks guys were very patient and understanding. All my stuff were delivered with nothing being broken; price is fair. On top of that everything was achieved in one day and we didn't have to stay at the hotel for any night. We called Aleks Movers to help move our sectional sofa to our main living space, located on the second floor of a 3 storey townhouse. Our original movers failed miserably as they damaged our wall. They called us in the morning informing that they're ahead of schedule and will be earlier than expected. A fleet of men, all in their company shirts showed up and did a quick assessment of how they will tackle the move and right away realized they will need to move the couch over our garage/deck and through the kitchen. Within a half hour they removed all doorways, took apart the sofa, and put everything back. Amazing team work, open communication and friendly. Thank you for the move as we can now officially settle in.

We used Aleks moving to move our belongings from our basement crawl space (4.5 feet in height) and garage back into various rooms of our house after completing a major renovation project. They brought 6 guys and finished what we expected to take 5 hours to complete in 1.5 hours! Efficient, professional, and extremely hard working. These guys are champs, super friendly, super professional, and did everything that we asked for. Extremely effective communicators. They were also able to bring down an extremely heavy elliptical into the basement with 0 damage to our home. Highly recommend these guys, honestly...if you have things to move, use them. Worked with Aleks Moving to move from Oakville and Toronto recently on short-notice and they were fantastic and great to work with! Super speedy, efficient, kind, and hassle free. I was moved and settled within 3 hours and all of my belongings and furniture were handled with care. They even dismantled and reassembled items as necessary without a fuss. Omg, I cannot say enough good things about this family owned company. Franko was always available by phone when I called with any questions. On our moving day, they were 15 minutes early!
