The office location is in the little nook by Dollarama at Shoppers World (South West corner). You might not see it at first if you've never been here. I think this place is an incredible hidden gem. It was recommended to me by a friend who found out how much I was spending on day rates with car sharing programs. Advantage East York's rental rates are very competitive to other rental agencies (if not incomparable!) and it was also very easy to reserve a car online. I've had a lot of rentals from various companies for work but this was my first time doing the entire process from start to finish on my own. Frank was so friendly kind. He explained everything I needed and was very professional. The car pick-up was efficient, smooth, and thorough. My rental car was in great condition. It was practically brand new. It drove very smoothly. It was perfect for my needs. I ended up needed my rental for longer than expected and extending my rental was easy. The staff here are very helpful! I was a frantic customer with a lot of emails and oh so many questions. The staff at this location were extremely patient and helpful throughout, and I thank them for putting up with me. I look forward to renting from here again in the future. They're absolutely my top choice right now for my next car rental.

One of the worst....no let me change that it was the worst experience renting a car in my more than twenty years of renting a vehicle. From the moment I looked in this company to rent a vehicle to returning it it was a nightmare that I will not forget. I have used this company in the past and experienced no issues but I am not certain what happened this time....all to save some money. I suppose you get what you pay for. Warning!! remember the price that you may have seen posted online, it states that they will drop off the vehicle to your home and arrange for early pick ups but it was a lie. When I requested an early pickup their response was that it was too early...why do you post that option then. The manager of this location felt very comfortable making un-customer service like remarks and she succeeded in upsetting me. I wonder if she (Lil) speaks to all customers that way. If they received a 5 star rating it was only because of the pricing. the only saving grace was that they rectified the pricing issue but only after getting very upset and vocal about it which demonstrates their lack of ability to handle customer grievances in a timely fashion. Really unfortunate and i would not recommend them for a rental service

Good place to rent for low price . Branch manager Frank thumbs up! Made the reservation online no problem. $65/day. This place was close to home needed a car for one day. Normally I don't trust rental places because they come up with hidden costs, try to sell you bogus insurance, extended warranty, don't have the car you reserved then charge you more money if you switch cars. Not this place. The branch manager Frank, was straight up and honest told me my credit card covers car insurance with zero deductible did not need to buy any additional insurance. He also upgraded me to a larger car for no additional charge because the car I selected was too small for me. The next day I called him at 4pm and asked to keep it for another day because I needed it , . despite being late, Frank was cool told me no problem. My credit card was charged $131 with no additional charges. I will go back again for sure. I would also recommend this place because of Frank. I recommend to anyone who is looking for simple rental car low price to go Advantage on Danforth Shoppers World and ask for Frank.

This is a mixed review. Advantage was my preferred local rental place for a few years. Prices were excellent, and the vehicles were great. However, making a reservation does not count for much, because the location does not manage their inventory well. Several times I showed up and there were "no vehicles available" despite having someone from the location call me to confirm my reservation the day before, AND the morning of the reservation. I have had to either make alternate arrangements, or wait hours for a car to arrive. The last time this happened, I was picking up a car at 9am on a Saturday to meet a friend for lunch in Niagara. I waited over two hours for a car, and had to change plans. A regional manager contacted me and offered a free rental as compensation, but that doesn't really count for much if they don't actually honour reservations. I no longer rent from Advantage, and do not recommend this location to anyone.

Top-notch & hassle-free service, great cars, best rates ! ! ! Best customer service, I rent car very frequently and this the best place around this East York and SCARBOROUGH areas. Price is very competitive and rental experience is always very peaceful. In addition if they don’t have the car you booked, you get upgraded one for no extra cost. Highly recommend this East York location to everyone. And keep up the good work guys . Update 17-10-2022. Again I would say this car rental place is a hidden jem in Scarborough and East York area! Years after years there service standards gets better and better. This time I was offered free upgrade again, even when the small car I booked was available. I had a great experience with Frank and his team at this Advantage location. The check in was quick and easy. When I was taken out to my car it was a little dirty from the last driver and they immediately switched me over to a cleaner car. The car itself was nice and clean and ran great. I was very impressed when they suggested I didn't need the extra insurance I had paid for because the insurance coverage on my mastercard was more than sufficient. That shows a level of care you rarely see nowadays. Returning the car was a breeze and I was back out the door in about five minutes. I'll definitely be using their services again. Great job!

I have been renting cars for the last 9 years from Enterprise and Budget but recently my neighbour told me about Advantage Car rental on the day when I needed the most. To my surprise, on the day when I needed a 7 seater car, Advantage provided me that without any prior booking that's how I started booking my car with Advantage. Since then I have been renting from Advantage and it is super easy to book and the rates are comparatively way lower than other big names. The service is really wonderful and always ready to help their clients. I wish them all the best!

So far the most affordable car rental service I found in Toronto and the service is great too. I had this brand new Honda Civic for a weekend. Very satisfied. The only thing that I don’t like is that I can’t return the car on Sunday. If I need book the car for Saturday then I have to book Sunday as well and return it on next Monday. The thing is sometimes I just need the car for one day! But anyhow it is still cheaper to book 2 days in Advantage than other car rental companies for only 1 day. Will come back again for sure.

Great prices and friendly, accommodating staff. I arrived an hour and a half before my reservation time but the staff were willing to check me through as soon as they could. I also lost a valuable item in the car and the staff was able to get it back to me as quickly as possible, even though the car had been re-rented by the time I discovered it missing. The vehicle that I rented was great. Clean, new model that handled like a dream during all the highway driving. I will most definitely rent from there again!

Great staff! Great customer service! Lil is the best. I was very loyal to enterprise but one bad experience I left them and called advantage car and from there I become fan of lil. Great choice of car always updated models and cheap compare to elsewhere. Last time I booked a basic car about $29 a day, when I went to pick up vehicle was offered SUV for free upgrade! Which is $70 a day! Really amazed with the service. And plus they do drop you back home after you drop the car. Highly recommend.

I have been renting at this location for a long time and on a Yearly basis, The Team are highly professional and very courteous, they work very effectivly to garantee the vehicle you get is exactly what you wanted or better , they have a great fleet of assorted vehicles in great condition and low millage . If you need a reliable vehicle, hassle free service and a good price there is no better place!

I used to be a loyal customer of Discount, but recently I became familiar with Advantage. The service I received was amazing. The pick up took me only 5 minutes and return was pretty easy and fast too. The car was almost brand new and very clean. Advantage has super friendly staff especially Frank who helped a lot to understand the rental policies and getting a good deal for the rental insurance.

Frank and his team are the best, my driver license was expired and can't go to renewal because the covid, they help.me to renew online right away. After I return the car in the midnight and drop the key in their trip box, I found out I leave my garage opener in the car I just return, they found it in the morning and return to me. Very good customer service and strongly recommend

My go to car rental place in Toronto because of their prices & awesome service! Because I travel a lot for work I have rented from a bunch of the other rental companies and none of them come even close! They always have a good selection of vehicles and the people working there are always very helpful and kind. Frank in particular has helped me on several occasions!

Fast, friendly, and professional. Prices are very reasonable with good weekend deals. Only issue was that the car they gave me was kind of dirty inside. Not exceedingly so, but I have definitely felt the need to give inside a good wipe down with some disinfectant wipes. All in all, however, a good experience with the service here. Will be renting from them again.

Great service and their prices were always better than others. They did not inflate their cargo prices on end and start of month like others. Already booked two times and always found them to be very helpful. Cars were clean and drive well. The manager was very helpful in letting me know that cargo van has commercial insurance. Do check them before others.

Booked a reservation, called at least 2 times to confirm with no answer. Arrived shortly after my reservation time and was told that I should've called to confirm there were actually cars available. When I said that I called multiple times the response I got was, "sorry I just got back." Online booking procedure needs a review for customer convenience.

I’ve rented at the danforth location for the first time and Frank and Jay were really helpful , they really catered to my needs for car space and they didn’t pressure me into anything and asked what I needed and they got me in a rental right away ! Honestly I highly recommend coming to this location ! :)

Frank and the team at Advantage are great! I find the best deals for rentals here, even during the long weekend, and the customer service at this location in particular is stellar. For newcomers - head to the Dollarama to find the office - it can be a little tricky the first time !

Never recommend I rent Van and my limit time was 100 km for 24 hours I didn't use the van on the 100 km and just I broth it just 2 hours late then I saw they charge me $160.
