beside merkato, this is one of my favourite market in addis abeba. enjoy the busyness of this place, where you can buy the daily needs but also a lot of cultural products (ethiopian clothes, pottery, scarfs, fabrics etc). make sure you pass the spice and the pottery section! … and be aware of thieves ;-)

Good place for finding pretty much everything local and not only. Spices, clothes souvenirs... this place has everything at very good prices. Do bargain a bit but in a respectful manner; and better if you go with someone who can do the translation for you. It will be challenging if you go alone.

The market has variety of cultural and traditional items, but there is no parking place to access the market especially with car. The traffic controllers are so rude though that rather than guiding the traffic they are all try to penalize you and take money.. …

Crowded and hard to find your way around here but you can find a variety of goods from household items to clothes to spices and groceries at a reasonable price. I don't think the bargain price is worth the hassle for most items tho

Big market, has everything you can think of, clothes, shoes, vegetables, Spices. The outer shops are fine, but there are buyers selling on the ground, putting a mat over the mud, I couldn't walk there, it was too muddy.

I didn’t click pictures because the guide told me its not safe to take out your phone as there are chances of robbery….over all the market was good very crowded ….you can buy variety of spices,shoes,clothes,bedsheet etc

Traditional market, spices, food, clothing, and textiles. If you are a tourist they will charge you more, if you can’t take a local with you, you will have to negotiate. Spices are awesome!

The best place to find household items for any house. You also have a variety of options to find the things you want. The place is tailored for the need of a typical Ethiopian household.

Way easier to navigate than merkato and the prices are almost the same. You can get literally anything you need for your home here from pots and pans to curtains and tole it paper

It is a local market so you have to be prepared for a local experience including not being overcharged so better to go with a local until you get the hang of things! … ተጨማሪ

There is parking problem in the area and traffic signs that prohibit u-turn.The market is congested in some area. You can find fair price if you bargain well.

Second largest market after merkato. Good variety, quality product, fair price. Most importantly safe and secure.

It's a working market for locals. Can buy a few local ceramics and spices but coffee beans are not toasted

Good for buying sports shoes and for blazers of all types. Choose the cloth and they will stich it.

You could pretty much get anything you need from this open air market. I loved shopping here
